Did anyone really think Tn would make the FF without Russell, DD, JJ, or IH? They did as well as they possibly could this year, IMHO. I'm glad they weren't pounded by UConn while half the team is on IR.
let UConn lose stewart, Tuck, KML. and a another player of your choice and see how damn far they would get this year....
People that wear the blue and absolutely live and die by Lady Vols basketball...are the biggest Holly apologists. Because she served beside the master faithfully all those years..?
Myself...more detached, but a fan nonetheless...I can't understand the blind allegiance. The program is still relevant enough to sell itself to top talent - for now. But Warlick can't diagram a freaking set play on offense, and our McDonald All-Americans always look disjointed when we possess the ball.
One would think the Pat-worshipers would have higher standards. What am I missing?
What coach would you like to see come in?
That's the question all the fire Holly fans won't answer.
Because they can't find a replacement who is an upgrade.
I haven't been Holly's biggest supporter but considering all the injuries, the elite eight was probably as far as we could reasonably go. The team really has accomplished a lot this year considering the circumstances. The nagging question is that we were so close to getting to the final four I keep thinking of what could have been done differently to get us over the hump.
UConn is going to its 8th straight final four. We have not been to a final four in 7 or 8 years. If that doesn't sting UT women's basketball fans, I don't know what does--and yet we have people lauding Warlick. Everybody likes Holly, including me, but she's at BEST at second-tier coach.
