No doubt, but old Joe new that Lee had surrendered by the time he was fighting in NC at Bentonville. And they kept fighting in TX long after Joe surrendered in NC. As my G-Pa used to say, who said its over? hehe.True... but word didn't travel quite as fast then as it does these days.

I know most won't believe this, but after living in G'ville and Knoxville, they aren't that different. They are both college towns surrounded by little towns like Walland, Rockford, Archer, Newberry etc. They have rabid fans and like to party. I spent 20 years on the beaches, 6 yrs abroad, and the last 13 here. I wanted G'ville without the humidity and I like the occasional snowfall. :wavey:
