'22 GA QB Sam Horn (Mizzou commit)

Flowers had his first season of full health at safety just last year. He was pretty consistent. He could have a big year.

He wasn't some special baseball prospect...

Top 10 round prospect out of high and SEC signee. African American with every chance to make big money 3 years later in the draft. He was a very good prospect

Good to see this staff has more initiative to keep the seat warm of your next option instead of waiting until it is too late. Granted Pruitt knew he had Ty at time but in other positions Pruitt was terrible at keeping his next option or two on the board warm while he put sole focus on the top guy that when he missed he was typically left with option 4/5 instead of 2/3

That DE that ended up signing with Bama in 2019 is coming to mind. Think his name started with an "E".

Ended up missing on the in-state kid that signed with South Carolina and recently transferred as a result.

Glad the Simpson commit is Friday for UT's sake and this kid's sake. Haven't seen Simpson but have seen Horn on TV and online. Competition level is MUCH tougher. Complexity of the game is MUCH higher. Not saying he's better, but no one should be moaning if he ends up here.
Yeah, my understanding that as QB prospects, there isn't a whole lot of difference between the two, and either would be a great addition. The greater value of Simpson seems to be that he is the key to unlocking many of the recruits in the historically good in-state class this year. Horn may turn out to be a better prospect in a couple of years, but we sure could use the shot in the arm that a Simpson commit would give us right now because we are dead in the water.

could be wrong but Horn is taller. Simpson is more dual threat . dw; the school that ran spread option with Justin Worleybird will find a way to Vandy this...

Kidding of course.

Horn looks good in a drop back passer offense ..not sure about escapability ... Simpson more of a dual threat guy for sure ...

Wait, so, dual threat?

The quick release and quick decisions this guy has is elite. Just needs to get a lot bigger in weight room

Of course Simpson just got his fifth star. Everybody knows what that means.
