To an extent, yes. But the new defensive staff is bringing the B10 culture that is winning right now for lack of better terms. For years, the Big Ten has learned how to build TEAMS that fit together and hired great staffs. Meanwhile, the SEC has stacked talent and just had everyone compete until stars rose to the top. Now the playing field has leveled out and the SEC is still just chasing traits and the B10 is winning championships. I'd say the one coach in the SEC that truly knows how to build a team is Kirby and it is no coincidence that he keeps leading the top team in the conference even tho a large share of his contributors are random Ga kids.Is there a shift happening from recruiting so many high school players to going to recruit more from the portal by Heupel and especially the mostly newer defensive staff?
