G Jones Cut

So I’m guessing you never cheered a TD scored by him after this event and certainly you boycotted each coaching staff that allowed him to play even though they too were aware of this event...? You were also calling for his dismissal from the team after this happened too...? Doubt it.

And let’s keep things on track... I never said GJ's was a great person (I’ve also never said he was/is a bad person ether… I don’t profess to know him personally). What I have said is he'll always be a VOL regardless of what people say about him.

Of course, many did. But many also cheered Douchey Kitten until he stabbed us in the back.

Jones effed up royal. Enough for him to hit the air waves and try to clarify...having said that he had a rocky road at TN so tough for me to know what his motives were. He's a Vol but his image is permanently tarnished, IMO. Sad cause trooper effed him.

I just hope that by now, GJ realizes Trooper used him. He does't need that trash in his life.

Comparing what Kiffin did and what Gerald Jones did or didn't do is ridiculous. We're talking about a paid coach leaving after one year who publically screwed the Vols and did some well publicized shady things post resignation and an unpaid player who gave his all for multiple coaching staffs who played a major role in many victories over his tenure who now has been targeted by whiney "Vol" fans as the fall guy because we lost some friggin recruit. Seriously get over it and realize GW had a tuff decision and he chose the National Champions and G. Jones had nothing to do with his decision.

If Gerald Jones had nothing to do with GW's decision, why would Trooper ask GW to call Jones? He wouldn't have him call Jones if he thought it would send GW toward UT.

Come on, a little common sense please.

Wow. After reading some of these posts in this thread and remembering the past bashing of GJ I just have to say that some of you are so pathetic. You take something he said about Troop and turn it into something else. What a bunch of losers bashing him for this. This has been going on for far too long and is embarrassing to real Tennessee fans. Pitiful and pathetic. Get a life.

Some might be pathetic, but you just read through seven pages of "bashing". Must have been turrible for you.

I don't give a damn how "noble" or "strong" he was during the coaching changes. He was playing college football at Tennessee while getting a free education. It's not like he was one of the Unknown Soldiers or something. He was a marginal receiver on some bad teams. He probably never left because he knew attrition would keep him on the field unlike at some other programs. He turned his back and "recruited" for Auburn, let him go stand tall and proud and get a job on their staff or hell maybe he can suit up for them considering they don't have to adhere to the rules anway. With that said.....GO VOLS
