They won't be going anywhere. Just a re-org bankruptcy.

Chapter 11 means they get to reorganize their debt. The debtor remains in control of their assets. It's actually a way of keeping a business alive in hard times.

“considering filing for insolvency in the UK”

So Regal could be floated. I wouldn’t be surprised to to private equity swoop in.

Building that HQ campus hasn’t been working out real well in Knoxville. Whittle Communications. Scripps Networks. Regal? Maybe Pilot and Clayton are safe underneath the Warren Buffett umbrella.

I’ll tell my neighbor, who is toward the top of the chain to relax and not stop coming by in the morning, crying, because “it’s all over”

Weel, we build all their concession stands, bars, and other casework and I'm bidding the New york job as we speak.

They'll have to offer up some sacrificial lambs at the big office, and maybe shed a few bad profit cinemas for show and tell, but they will carry on as usual.

I’ve often wondered why the movie houses don’t periodically rerun some of the movies that look better on the big screen like Titanic, Sound of Music, Ben Hur, Star Wars, etc. Do the studios demand the same fees for them?

I think this is unrecognized potential that movie theaters have really missed out on. There are a number of flicks that I would go see if they re-run and promoted them. You don't think people would fill the theater for cult classics? Tombstone, Godfather, Pulp Fiction, the original Star Wars trilogy, Gladiator, the Shining, etc...

Marquee Cinema in Bristol has a throwback movie every week but it’s only on Wednesdays and Sundays.

I always say I want to go but have yet to make it to one.

The Tampa Theatre showed GOODFELLAS a couple of years ago. It was fun watching it in a big screen with a glass of wine.
They are showing Casablanca this weekend.
