My first thread, so I hope it goes well.

Which University has the best all-time combination/duo of Offensive and Defensive players in history?

Examples:
UT Offense: Peyton Manning
UT Defense: Reggie White

Illinois Offense: Red Grange
Illinois Defense: Dick Butkis

Should be interesting. GO!

I think Miami probably wins this discussion if you were to assemble a team of all timers from each school and play each other. But Notre Dame has the most players in the NFL Hall of Fame. Although USC would give them a game.

Miami also had Frank Gore, Ed Reed, Warren Sapp, Reggie Wayne. They put a BUNCH of top players in the NFL. Pitt also had Marino, Larry Fitzgerald, and Darrelle Revis, Aaron Donald.

Now that I look at it, USC probably wins.

If the criteria is NFL success, I’ll go with:
Emmitt Smith
Jack Youngblood

If it’s college success, I’ll go with:
Tim Tebow
Wilbur Marshall

Not saying these duos top others, just giving a UF perspective. I personally think Manning/White are pretty tough to beat from an NFL success standpoint.

Not that I like this school (actually, I despise them), but Penn State deserves a mention because of the talent that has passed through there.
Offense - Saquon Barkley
Defense - Jack Ham
