I didn't like playing Tebow, and not taking anything away from his greatness...just my opinion, but I didn't fear him as much as Wuerffel...he was unconscious...seems like he could be getting tackled and throw the ball 50 yards across the field into a window of about 12 inches with UT DB's all over the WR.If the criteria is NFL success, I’ll go with:
Emmitt Smith
Jack Youngblood
If it’s college success, I’ll go with:
Tim Tebow
Wilbur Marshall
Not saying these duos top others, just giving a UF perspective. I personally think Manning/White are pretty tough to beat from an NFL success standpoint.
My first thread, so I hope it goes well.
Which University has the best all-time combination/duo of Offensive and Defensive players in history?
Examples:
UT Offense: Peyton Manning
UT Defense: Reggie White
Illinois Offense: Red Grange
Illinois Defense: Dick Butkis
Should be interesting. GO!
The greats are always gonna be the greatest to a university and to the fans...That being said I think you must go for there whole careers...College and Pro ! #1.....I don’t think there’s a greater ambassador to the sport than Peyton Manning has been...That should be the offensive player....#2...Between Doug Atkins and Reggie White’s careers...This gives Tennessee TWO All - Time Century’s Pro defensive players to ever play there position and what a career they both had !!! There’s my two cents...VFL !My first thread, so I hope it goes well.
