If you honestly believe we were better off keeping Fulmer than moving on until we found a better fit (hopefully Dooley) then you are just too narrowminded to argue with.
If you honestly think we will do better than Fulmer anytime in the next ten years, then it's you who is too narrow-minded to argue with. Let me know when we call a 10 win season a "joke" and a "disappointment" again.

Does it make you feel better to go unranked all year?
The true sign of a Fulmer hater -- they would prefer to be 5-7 or 6-6 every year than 9-4 or 10-3 every year because any season without an SEC title is "just awful."
I have some sympathy for the FCF crowd.
However, it was incumbent upon the AD at the time to hire a WORTHY replacement, especially if you are going to fire our second greatest coach in the middle of a season, costing us a bowl bid.
Hambone = EPIC FAIL on attempt one. Now, I LIKE Dooley a lot, BUT he doesn't have a Saban-esque resume.
If you wanted to Fire Coach Fulmer, you better be damn sure you get it right the first time. And you had better be confident you will IMPROVE upon an SECCG every three years.
Right now, there is NO DOUBT we would be a stronger, deeper, and more competitive team now without the Hambone Experiment.
exactly. Nine was the standard and that's why Fulmer got his raise based upon his new 8 win standard...oh, wait...he got fired for winning 5.
When your only example of a bad home loss to a weak team is the week Fulmer had already been fired, then you know your argument is weak.
If you can't see that the quarterback-less class is killing UT right now, there is nothing I can say to change your POV. Even with Boyd there would be a huge learning curve this year.
Would have won seven without the Hambone Experiment. Would have been huge for JC too. Could have won 9 - 10 last year. Pity.
We've been over the contract. Lubrication for the Machinations.
While I agree, I still have to bring up examples like FLorida and Alabama. It's not like they went from hero to hero. Florida had the Ron Zook era before they got Meyer to dominate and Alabama had that whole mess before landing a Nick Saban. Those two schools are doing alright for themselves.
