Fulmer isnt risking his legacy as AD, if Pruitt fails, he becomes coach like he wants.

If Fulmer found a cure for cancer some on here would start accusing him of taking work away from doctors. LOL

And if Fulmer murdered someone, all you others would swear some other evil person had the same DNA as him. Go get a breath mint. Take all you want. Please!

Fulmer needs to keep his nose out of the OC hire. Unless Pruitt asks him for advice, it’s just dysfunctional meddling.

Those that think Pruitt or anyone can win at UT with the current roster that WAS LEFT him deserve to have a bad product going forward. Some are living up to the dumbest fan base in America opinion.

Just speculating based on having made a selection that cant be announced.
1. Sark from Atlanta. Will need a new job when atl fires him. Can’t be announced until he gets his departing gift. He and Pruitt are friends from Bama. Sarks o fits Pruitt s philosophy. Not a big splash but ok.
2. Clemson has two OCs and we could use one. You don’t get arguments about bringing staff. Not a great philosophy fit. Medium large splash.
3. Briles at Huston. Still playing and is the only OC that said there is nothing going on with Tennessee. Splash Down side is he would want to bring staff. I would.
4. Wild card Randy Sanders ETSU. His offense fits Pruitt’s philosophy. There are people that won’t like Randy but he was schooled by Cut and some other great minds at FSU.

You might as well add Chaney unless he has stated a public "No". Contract ends Dec 2018 unless he has extended it....

We know what he is capable of and we know it can produce wins.....Chaney has been here before and Knoxville greater than Athens....easy to get reacquainted with the area. No Baggage. Does his style fit Pruitt and does Pruitt style fit Chaney....

Safe bet, good OC, been here before, accepted. Knows the SEC and knows how to score...Out of those listed I would chose Chaney over them.....

Fulmer isn't coming back to coach. It's going to be Pruitt's decision. He got one mulligan already. I have zero problem with the search taking this long as long as we see better than what? 124th in offense last year. I mean they didn't exactly set the bar high to top that. I feel better about Fulmer as AD than I do of the chances Jeremy Pruitt will ever get us to a championship level. Pruitt has his work cut out for him only recruiting can fix IMO. Beating the teams we need to beat on field out of top level recruits is his challenge. It's going to be a slower process for him. Show steady progress on the field next year and you build momentum. Next year is going to be big for Pruitt. Better make the right OC hire..

Not at Tennessee. We’ve tried it several times and it’s a complete failure
my comment was about the practice of the "buddy system". whether or not it's a good idea is a whole different subject.

If you think Sanders is coming back under Fulmer, you ARE living in a fantasy world.

Because it's been reported that Fulmer blocked Leach/got Currie fired/and he is the one who hired Pruitt, a completely unproven commodity.
The only person that got John Currie firedwas John Currie. Would Leach have been a good hire? He isnt exactly owning a weak PAC 12. He would probably be like Mahlzahn; early success until they figured him out.

Currie backed the horse that normally wins around here. He just didnt this time.

Leach is a good coach, but he's also a very odd dude that does well at non fish bowl type jobs.
I could see him leaving a place like here not because he couldn't win but because he didnt enjoy the extras that come with the job.
