There is no reason for his family to be a part of it, however it's done. Am I the only who thinks it's cheesey as hell the way he always trots out to midfield for the postgame handshake with one of his daughters holding his hand? That and his wife is always on the field after the game. Who else makes a spectacle of their family like that? I mean what a ham! They have gotten enough screen time. Now please just go away already. One of the many things about him I won't miss is how he has force fed us these bs scenes with his family. Does anybody even know what Mark Richt's or Urban Meyer's family looks like? No! Because they stay in the stands where they belong!

I too don't want to see the wife or daughters on the field. I have seen enough of them. I don't care what Fulmer does, as long as he just goes away and does not become part of the athletic department.

joc youre comment there is completely classless. Just because you don't like Fulmer doesn't mean you have the right to make comments about his wife and daughters. And get used to seeing Phil, because he WILL be a part of the athletic department for many many more years in some capacity.
I think it will be a bitter pill for him to swallow if the people who clamored for his job and criticized every move he made, suddenly acted as if none of it happened and he's leaving because he wanted to and he's suddenly everybody's hero. The remaining games will be difficult for him and his family. Just go on with business as usual and at the end of the season have a ceremony or something to honor him and move on. All this "let's honor him in a special way" just seems downright hypocritical to me after the way he and his coaching ability have been trashed. And no, I am not bitter because he is leaving. I just think an over-the-top send off would be a day late and a dollar short for him and his family.
As others have said I may not like his coaching but I respect the hell out of the man.
Just read Hamiltons interview from today and he said it's possible CPF or CPF and family will run through the "T" solo vs. Kentucky...What do you think?
I think he'll run through with the team because thats the type of person he is.
