Fulmer talking to Miles

That really needs to be understood from the beginning, let the OC run the offense, if he is not willing to do that have a clause in the contract terminated with cause for insubordination. He has always done well on defense.

Exactly. They need to make it clear. He is not to meddle with the offense.

Miles is just a figurehead. If Fulmer hires Miles, I would be much more interested in the assistants he brings.

By this logic, anyone thinking Les Miles is thinking we only need a coach for a year or 2 for stability again then make THE hire.

Just imagine, we would have looked like the best job in the country if we had fired butch at the end of last year like we should have. Butch would have looked like a rebuilding guru, we would've been sitting on top of the heap in the searches.

So we are gonna tell and demand Les let’s Tee run the offense even though his OC isn’t a QB coach and only experience calling plays are on 1st and 2nd down only?

Sure Les is totally gonna take that deal.

The fact that people think Les Miles is the answer is astounding. Hell yeah im super excited to hire a 64 year old coach, who by the way just got fired because he couldn't beat Alabama with the talent that LSU has every year but that's okay because he will best everyone with Tennessees talent.

You can count on two hands the number of teams that have beat Saban in a decade. Everyone loses to Alabama, not just LSU.

Miles mAde Mullen his bi*** every year
Muschamp 1-3 vs miles.

Try again

Leach made Miles his female dog 3-1 when Miles was at Oklahoma State. If you hire Miles, you's better have elite coordinators, cause he's just a loveable figurehead.

Steele for DC all day long. But how do you pull him? If the Barn fires Gus for beating Bama but losing SEC champ game they deserve a self imposed death penalty. Gus ain’t going nowhere and they ain’t gonna fire him.

No he wouldn’t. Even if he took same pay, he’d almost double his cash. He literally would need to make in the 700K range in Cali to make same cash he would at his current $455K if he was at TN.

.... And he'd go from paying 10%+ to 0 in state income tax.

Went 80-28 since his title in 2007. 74% win percentage.

UT went 58-55 in the same time frame. Thats with a full 2016 season Miles didnt have. 51% win percentage.

Id take Miles.

His record speaks for itself. Look at the records of others we have talked to and compare. Les Miles is a very good coach.

If you make demands of the new coach as to who he has to have on his staff.....then, you haven't really hired a head football coach.

Kiffin ain’t responsible for Dooley and Butch years.

Knowing the Fulmer that we all know.

Kiffin will never get a look or call from Fulmer.

Fulmer would never hire a coach that said UT was not their dream job and left Knoxville in the way that Kiffin did.

Kiffin may be a coach someday in the SEC and he thinks his tweets are funny but he's truly doing more damage to himself and needs to stop tweeting out insults to show that he has changed a matured. He was UT's coach for one year and broke recruiting rules.

It all depends on who the OC is tbh. Les could run an offense and win 9 games at Tennessee. We can all agree on that. Butch Jones could even do that. If we hired a big name OC, then yes, they need to tell Les to leave him alone. Period. If we hire Tee, well, that’s more tricky obviously. There is not instruction manual to this stuff and given the past 3 weeks and how this nuclear meltdown has been going, I think Les would be a stable hand with a good record to come here.

Using logic ain’t gonna work here 99. Dictating stuff like this is exactly what we just lost our damn minds over.
