Fulmer talking to Miles

Knowing the Fulmer that we all know.

Kiffin will never get a look or call from Fulmer.

Fulmer would never hire a coach that said UT was not their dream job and left Knoxville in the way taht Kiffin did.

Kiffin my be a coach someday in the SEC and he thinks his tweets are funny but he's truly doing more damage to himself and needs to stop tweeting out insults to show that he has changed a matured. He was UT's coach for one year and broke recruiting rules.

He’s not matured nor changed.

Anyone who believes otherwise is fooling themselves.

Miles is rebuilding. Not stepping into a top program with a top roster.

So yes, he is behind those 3 right now.

...are you saying that South Carolina is a "top program" with a "top roster"? That's ridiculous... and Mullen is also rebuilding at Florida. Lest you forget they just went 4-7 after beating us at home on a hail mary on the last play of the game.

And thats all he would be here for. To make the program more attractive to the next coach. A stop gap.

We dont have a roster full if top talent. If Les was hired he would do good to win 6 next year.

Kiffin’s tweets and social media are to draw attention of recruits. It’s working. And his fan base is growing. Times are changing.

if miles were able to salvage the recruits still on board and get a few of the de-commits back for this class and then use his abilities recruiting tx&La for 2019 he could have things headed in the right direction going into the 2019 season. Next season will most likely suck irregardless . Miles has already proven that he can beat the current Sec E coaches on the field, excluding smart .

If Fulmer "wiped the slate clean", how in the world is Miles name coming up so soon. Gotta be at least a dozen better names than Miles.

Where did i say anything about South Carolina being a “top program”?!?!

Comprehension is not a friend of many people here

Miles stepped into a very nice roster at LSU. He will not being doing that here.

Read people read.

He’s from Arkansas.

He was a walk-on at Arky and transferred to Henderson St. Hey maybe I’m way off but don’t see a huge amount of love there. No doubt Arky would love the view Gus as a favored son to bring home. Question is is the feeling mutual.

Leach made Miles his female dog 3-1 when Miles was at Oklahoma State. If you hire Miles, you's better have elite coordinators, cause he's just a loveable figurehead.
on board with leach over miles, but I'm afraid that ship has sailed.

So we are gonna tell and demand Les let’s Tee run the offense even though his OC isn’t a QB coach and only experience calling plays are on 1st and 2nd down only?

Sure Les is totally gonna take that deal.

I'm not saying it has to be Tee, but a proven OC, I don't really know if Tee only calls 1st and 2nd down only, I have heard that but not officially.

You said that Miles was "behind those three" and included Muschamp as one of "those three"... The reasons you cited were that Tennessee was not a top program right now with top talent (so I interpreted that to mean you were suggesting that South Carolina was). Whatever the hell your point was, you did not articulate it very well.

Chief is a very good DC when he has the talent to work with.

I agree, but he doesn't like recruiting and his end of game strategy leaves something to be desired when it's close. Still better than what we've had since him for sure.

Tennessee hasn't had a good defense since Chavis left

It was very clear. Miles stepped into top roster and program at LSU. That’s not the case at UT and we are behind those 3 teams.

If the Les/Tee scenario was to play out...

I think in terms of salvaging this recruiting class, it's a pretty good scenario.

We've just seen the worst PR week at UT ever.

I'd like to think if I were a recruit on the fence with TN, that having a National Champion AD, National Champion Coach, and former National Champion QB as OC(that also just won the Pac 12 title) would help teeter me back to the Vols.

Name me one coach who is available with a better resume than Les Miles? A better win loss record.

It’s not just record. It’s also the staff being built. Have Les with Tee as OC still leaves a glaring issue. Who coaches the quarterbacks?

Since Les got fired primarily due to QB recruiting and development issues, it’s very confusing that we would hire him with a first time OC who’s background is WR coaching and not QB’s.

Leach made Miles his female dog 3-1 when Miles was at Oklahoma State. If you hire Miles, you's better have elite coordinators, cause he's just a loveable figurehead.

So, Leach > Miles. Will Phil do his job by making the call and setting up an interview with Leach, before running out to hire Miles?

You know les had taken a year off so he probably appreciates us putting his staff together for him (I’m doing it too).

Will be interesting to see if this has legs.
