Should he stand up and yell that he's a man? I don't understand the asinine belief that anything a coach says must be "coach speak" and is somehow always the wrong thing to say.
If he says A, you want B. If he says B, he should have said A. If he says nothing, he's a jerk. If he says A and B, he should be saying nothing.
Come on. The media asks questions, he has to answer them. It's part of the contract, I'm sure. Like I've said before, there's plenty to criticize without taking stuff out of context, making mountains out of molehills, and latching on to every word a coach or player says.
If you're gonna whine and complain, stop listening to press conferences! Any coach (and by any, I mean all) is going to say just about the same thing week to week. How many do you see that come out of a press conference after a loss, and people say "yeah, he's right. I don't disagree with that at all!"?
