Fulmer Just BBQ'd Kiffin on CBS College Sports

You mean, the way our corners played 20 yards off the receivers and we rushed 3 linemen, allowing a freshman quarterback to shred us to pieces? Or do you mean the way we opted to kick the ball off to the 40 yard line? Which part was more "championship calibre"?

Since you brought it up, isn't that known as "3rd and Chavis"? That's another area that used to chafe my butt. Personally, I liked Chavis but sometimes the prevent defense on 3rd down was unbearable; backing off 30 yards (exaggeration) to let them get the first down. :mf_surrender: Whereas they had played good "D" for the first 2 downs then gave it to them the next. Also, wasn't that the Auburn team that was put on probation?

Wrong. You said classless.

And nothing about "people glaring and crying" is classless. In fact, I could debate you all day long on "glaring."

But they were childish, childish things to mention. So, who cares.

Yahtzee!

You couldn't debate anyone on anything, "glaring" or any other descriptive word. You don't even know the correct use of "analogy." Give us another sterling example of your use of "analog." :post-4-1090547912:

Can't argue with a loss is a loss. But I really don't think too many fans have forgotten how fulmer had lost control of the football team. You don't remember how his players weren't paying attention on the sidelines, texting, talking on their phones, not really paying attention to what was happening on the field? Not just one game, the whole season. That was a big sign of a lack of discipline and a lack of respect for their coach. All Phil could do at that point was clap his hands with a big "Aw, shucks" look. It was way too late for him to try to turn the program around. We would have gotten killed by the Gators & Bama if Phil had still been there; there was blood in the water. What saved us from blow-out losses was a much tougher discipline, hard-work, some new recruits, purging some of those players who didn't want to conform to Kiffin's new way of doing things, Monte's defensive schemes & preparedness. We also know that injuries took a big toll last year. How many teams go through 3 middle linebackers in a season? Again, not saying the Kiffin era was perfect, but there's no way I believe Fulmer could have equalled or done better than Kiffin last year; IMO we would have had greater losses. You're entitled to you opinion, and I'm entitled to mine. Win or Lose, I fully support Coach Dooley and I don't expect miracles. We have a tough schedule, but like Kiffin, I do think Dooley will get the most out of the talent we do have. I'm a rabid fan like most of you but at the end of the day it's just a football game. (I keep trying to tell myself that--LOL). Trying to keep my blood pressure in check.:clapping:

LOL at 8 months being an "era."

Fulmer would have won nine games last year.

So, one who hasn't smoked a hog in a pit is a yuppi? Yuppies are worse than rednecks?

I have smoked a hog. I am a lawyer from Vandy, and I'm pretty sure that gets me a Yuppie card. I walk in both the darkness and the light.

I am Blade.

How does one smoke a hog? It seems to me it would be a little hard to get one rolled.

Did you mean you "BBQ'd a hog?" ;-)

Having spent some time in West Tennessee, I soon found out there is a huge difference in smoked meat and BBQ. There is a little place in Jacks Creek, TN that used to be able to demonstrate the difference.

Intersection of State Rd 100 and State Rd 22 east of Henderson, TN

There is (or was, I haven't been through there in a few years) a BBQ place on the NE corner of that intersection that was stellar.

I give him credit for the 90’s. Winning a NC is an accomplishment shared by few.

He in the 00’s sucked.

So the early years with clausen sucked? I thought they were good. The ice man was winning road games like no other.

Coach Fulmer has 152 wins at Tennessee, 2nd only to the General (one of top 2-3 coaches all time in NCAA) and the punk has 5 wins period in NCAA. Coach Fulmer is a lock to be in the college football hall of fame while the punk will likely flop and be fired at USC or get them into even more trouble with NCAA. Lk is a con man, a snake oil salesman, a joke. He makes me want to puke. It is an rediculous to compare the punk to the legend Fulmer.
