Can't argue with a loss is a loss. But I really don't think too many fans have forgotten how fulmer had lost control of the football team. You don't remember how his players weren't paying attention on the sidelines, texting, talking on their phones, not really paying attention to what was happening on the field? Not just one game, the whole season. That was a big sign of a lack of discipline and a lack of respect for their coach. All Phil could do at that point was clap his hands with a big "Aw, shucks" look. It was way too late for him to try to turn the program around. We would have gotten killed by the Gators & Bama if Phil had still been there; there was blood in the water. What saved us from blow-out losses was a much tougher discipline, hard-work, some new recruits, purging some of those players who didn't want to conform to Kiffin's new way of doing things, Monte's defensive schemes & preparedness. We also know that injuries took a big toll last year. How many teams go through 3 middle linebackers in a season? Again, not saying the Kiffin era was perfect, but there's no way I believe Fulmer could have equalled or done better than Kiffin last year; IMO we would have had greater losses. You're entitled to you opinion, and I'm entitled to mine. Win or Lose, I fully support Coach Dooley and I don't expect miracles. We have a tough schedule, but like Kiffin, I do think Dooley will get the most out of the talent we do have. I'm a rabid fan like most of you but at the end of the day it's just a football game. (I keep trying to tell myself that--LOL). Trying to keep my blood pressure in check.:clapping:
