I am just as disapointed about florida as anyone. But i for one love fulmer. And i just want to say that I fully support coach Fulmer in his job.If he has lost the desire or edge than he should go out on his own terms. I love how everyone wanting a coaching change thinks we are magically going to be a contender with someone new. Fulmer is a legend no matter how you want to look at it. And when he leaves he will be remembered positively throughtout the fan-base. People that say that Majors got a shady deal have a good point and I can understand where you come from. But other than that, what do you expect? This guy won a national title and put us on the elite level and we need to support him and the team and quit trying to act like we know how to coach or what to do.

Number don't lie. I like Fulmer as much as everyone else, but he doesn't seem to be effective anymore. They shouldn't just fire him out of the blue, but if a good candidate is in place, we have to.

Today's era of college football has surpassed CPF and his philosophy.

Fulmer is a legend, no doubt, to what extent will be determined in his exit. If he realized it and steps down, then he will be a far greater legend then if he doesnt realize it and just keeps dragging the program down. put that in your pipe and smoke it haha

yeah numbers dont lie do they? one of the winningest coaches in college football and because we are combining last years streaky ending with this years slow start we come up with losing 6 of our last 8 or whatever you crazy stat junkies like to talk about

I like Fulmer too. A Tennessee legend? Yes. National legend? No.

Does anyone consider Lloyd Carr a legend?

In ten years noboby nationally will remember CPF.

I love Fulmer as well and he will always get my respect but until he makes some changes or improves a great deal over the last couple of years then there will be a loud public outcry.

Tennessee hasn't been relevant in 4 years or more.... Losing bowls to Maryland, Clemson, Penn State, etc and missing one and maybe another this year can't happen. That is unacceptable for this university.

Why wouldn't we become contenders?

Georgia won the SEC in Richt's 3rd year

LSU won the SEC in Saban's 3rd year

Oklahoma won the NT in Stoops's 2nd year

USC won the NT in Carroll's 3rd year

Florida won the SEC and a NT in Meyer's 2nd year

Alabama looks so much more improved in Saban's 1st year

Cal went from 1 win to 7 wins in Tedford's 1st year

Ohio State won the NT in Tressel's 2nd year

So, I ask, why can't we become a contender with a new coach?

its not just about championships... thats a big part but do you not think overall record has anything to do with it?

Not really. The overall record is good, but he didn't take advantage of all those wins very well.

What kills me is Fulmer not willing to open up the offense and show something different. Its been the same offense since he took over. He's like an old lady set in her ways and nobody is going to change it.

a 2-2 SEC Title Game record does not equal legendary status. A Tenn. legend yes, nationally not a chance.

Do you consider Bobby Ross, Bill McCartney or Don James legends?

Those guys won national titles too.

I think everyone should give CPF some credit for the things that he has done. You have to respect a man that has given many years of service to UT Football.
