Only 2 NFL teams ran more than they threw last year. 1/2 of the teams threw at least 60% of the time. The old notions of 1st and 2nd down LBs vs a 3ed down LB are gone! I love Bituli and Warrior...but relative to their drafted peers, they are a step or 2 slower. Hope they get into camp and show that coaching, instincts, heart, and guts help them make rosters. Calloway played 4 years for crappy QBs...he's in a tough camp to make a roster.

Callaway is the only one that is a head scratcher to me. He had nice measurables and good production even with uneven QB play. I thought he would’ve gotten drafted. I think he will be productive. The rest of the guys we had lack one or both of the measurables and productivity that is largely required to get drafted.

Jennings sliding that far is a bit odd to me. While his 40, etc., weren’t great, they weren’t so bad as to write off his productivity and competitiveness. I don’t think he was a first or second rounder but I’m puzzled why a run heavy team like the Titans wouldn’t have picked him up as he’s a devastating blocker and hard nosed as it comes. He would’ve been a great Titan.

I've seen a few say his knees are hurting his chance
Pass coverage issues and sideline to sideline speed were the knock. If I were the King of the NFL I would take him in a heartbeat. What he has (instincts) can't be taught and are hard to measure with a tape and stop watch.

Bituli was a stud on running downs. Passing downs a major weakness. Slower than molasses. WRs get into secondary ware Warrior was no speed demon. Love these guys but weaknesses came out at combine. Wish them the best.

How did Bituli and Warriors weaknesses come out at the combine?

Know what else was good 35 years ago? VHS tapes. New Coke. NES. Rock Me Amadeus was a chart topper. Mr. Belvedere. Bench press record was 710 pounds....

Anquan Boldin also ran a 4.72 (I think Rice was actually a 4.65). He was much more recent.

Regardless, I’m betting both would still be good in today’s game. It’s not like CBs have gotten faster than Deion Sanders and Darrell Green. Speed isn’t the only reason a WR gets open. Certainly not straight-line speed with no pads on.

The NFL isn’t always right but they have high % of picking pro level players. Look at that dude from St Johns. Who would think he stands a chance in the NFL? Check his vids though and they are amazing. You can think all you want about certain players but when you don’t get drafted by the NFL your chances are slim. ALL SEC or not how many undrafted FA’s make an impact? Very few.

Average NFL career is 3.3 years. 55 players on a roster. 7 rounds in the draft. The math says there are lots of UFAs playing on Sundays.

Bituli may not be a 3rd down LB but he sure can be a 1st and 2nd downer.
Unfortunately for him, that's becoming a scarce alignment in the NFL. They're in Nickel or Dime about 70% of the time now and it's just going to keep increasing. It's a DB/WR game now.

He also is considered the greatest route runner to ever play and considered to have some of the strongest hands to ever play. They may have run similar times but there is absolutely nothing else they compare equally to each other. I'm a Vol fan through and through but this is simply not a good comparison.
I'd match JJ's fight against anyone, even Rice. The kid is a junkyard dog. He has the want and desire to win in spades.

Are you honestly trying to tell me Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin can't play and are not great wide receivers? Maybe you should check their 40 times. It is asinine to say what a player may do when they haven't done it yet. By your logic Tom Brady was a horrible QB who should have never seen the field but could have been a scout team player being that he was drafted in the 6th round and 199th overall.
Marques Colston, WR (No. 252 overall, 2006) 7th round

T.J. Houshmandzadeh (No.204 overall 2001) 7th round

Steve Johnson (No.207 overall 2008) 7th round First player in Bills history with back to back 1,000 yard seasons at WR.

Dwight Clark (No.249 overall) 7th round

Just a few examples of players who should have never made it by your theory.

You have just shown outliers, now, you have shown 4 examples going all the way back to Dwight Clark, how many WRs were drafted since then? You keep throwing Boldin out there, what round was he drafted in? Do you think he had other measurables that were off the charts? BTW Brady doesn’t play WR. Stay focused...

These UDFAs: do they get a fixed slot amount of $$ to sign? It's interesting how immediate the signings were, so I suspect it's a flat rate.

I also wonder how much dropoff there is between being drafted 7th round and being a UFDA. Hoping our guys let a little scratch after all that work.
