Bituli and Warrior didn’t get drafted because of speed, or lack of. In today’s NFL you have to be able to run. Same reason Jennings fell to the 7th. You have TEs in the game who are 6’6” 265 running 4.6 and 4.7 times. “Speed never had a bad day”
Jerry Rice ran the same time as JJ.
That worked out well for the 49ers.

Tua has incredible upside.

When your comps are Steve Young and Mark Brunell, teams are going to gamble on you. I, for one, am glad he chose to come play ball in the SEC.
Sock, i'm sorry but I'm just sitting here in a depression over the state of our program. I REALLY REALLY want us to do well on the field, off the field, and in the the draft. It's a bragging thing. It also shows recruits that we are a viable choice for their future. And I get tired of watching our guys give their all for our team and then not get rewarded for it. Warrior was first team ALL SEC. What did that get him. Sorry but I have been on one all day.

20 years ago. You think maybe the game has sped up a little?

Linebackers and Dlinemen have generally become faster. Yes.

And that makes WRs like Rice even more valuable in today's game. Dependable checkdown and over the middle.

Are you honestly comparing the greatest WR ever to Jennings? They aren’t in the same galaxy. In today’s game you have to be able to run, point blank. I think Jennings may make a good special teams player, and I wish him the best, but, take off the orange colored glasses, he was a seventh round pick for a reason.

He's not Jerry Rice, but I think you're selling him short. He's still a hell of a player with a lot of fight in him.

Are you honestly trying to tell me Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin can't play and are not great wide receivers? Maybe you should check their 40 times. It is asinine to say what a player may do when they haven't done it yet. By your logic Tom Brady was a horrible QB who should have never seen the field but could have been a scout team player being that he was drafted in the 6th round and 199th overall.
Marques Colston, WR (No. 252 overall, 2006) 7th round

T.J. Houshmandzadeh (No.204 overall 2001) 7th round

Steve Johnson (No.207 overall 2008) 7th round First player in Bills history with back to back 1,000 yard seasons at WR.

Dwight Clark (No.249 overall) 7th round

Just a few examples of players who should have never made it by your theory.

He also is considered the greatest route runner to ever play and considered to have some of the strongest hands to ever play. They may have run similar times but there is absolutely nothing else they compare equally to each other. I'm a Vol fan through and through but this is simply not a good comparison.

Daniel bituli was a freaking stud! Have no clue why teams are passing on him
Bituli was a stud on running downs. Passing downs a major weakness. Slower than molasses. WRs get into secondary ware Warrior was no speed demon. Love these guys but weaknesses came out at combine. Wish them the best.

NFL teams want 3 down players at LB, tackle & cover. Not many LBs can do that.
