Franklin on Saban Being New Commish

I’d trust Jimbo Fisher or a guy who has burned his bridges before trusting an “ambassador” or “consultant”.

Saban looking for something to do besides Aflac commercials and hanging out with Corso on College Gameday.

This is worth the read. Franklin makes some good points. It's time to step up and start solving some problems that are starting to really hurt college football.

Saban would be an excellent commish

Yes!!! Just what we need!! A Bammer being in charge of something. What could possibly go wrong?!?

Well, to appease the Big10 maybe the Michigan AD would become head of NCAA Investigations & Enforcement.

To appease the ACC the Tarheel Chancellor gets to lead the Education In Sports Division

Hope you folks realize your being played ....
Order out of chaos...
Saban retired for a reason..
Belichick sat out of NFL for a reason ..
Ponder with your own thoughts ,not what thoughts are put in your head daily by all the talking heads ..In what Universe would the best NFL head coach ever leave it to coach college.. Enter left stage Neon Deion...

What "control"? Today's situation is confused, uncongealed & just an unsustainable mess!
That the powers at be created just so you would be force to take their savior ..That other wise you all would be on this board saying hell no ...

OK Let me see if I got this straight. You think Nick Saban should be the commisioner. AND? You use James Franklin as the influencial expert to convince Tennessee fans of the validity of the whole damn thing?

Yeah. Sure.
I didn't say I did or didn't. Simply posted an opinion from people with accomplished resumes who's opinion is a million times more valid than yours.

Saban shouldn’t be I charge of anything unless you want to see that Bama never get another penalty called on them in any sport…

That's actually the point of the story. There is currently no leadership to make executive decisions, and it's time for some. (the NCAA is a proven impotent bureaucracy.) Make some basic transparent ground rules- limits on transfers, cap NIL, etc.

Please explain how a cap on NIL would work, and should we also have a cap on how much professional players can earn on their endorsements?

Saban would be an excellent commish because he’s one of the only ones seeing the destruction of the game and is honest about. Those opposed are blinded by their hatred for Bama which would have nothing to do with being the commish

Saban would be sued by college athletes within 6 months over what he would try to do with NIL.
