Frank Anderson still being linked to Giants openings

I’m not…
This stinks!
First Tony and now my guy Frank?!
This is like your wife leaving you but then you hook up with her hot sister, only for her to drop you 3 weeks later when you were just starting to regain your confidence and feel good about yourself.
😩
Dang! You might be surpassing MAD as the best poster on the baseball forum. (No offense @MAD). That is hilarious and a HOF worthy post! Well done my friend!. 🍊👍👍👊👊😀😀🍊🍊

Thought Tony was keeping the Knoxville house?
I live down the road, literally and figuratively ",on the other side of the tracks". I peer up there looking for moving vans when I pass it.:)
It is enormous. Can't see the parents wanting that big place. Probably made sense for Tony. I imagine he would have entertained a lot of guests there.

It's all bittersweet. These guys did so much for us so it's hard not to be happy for them. Like everyone else, just want the success to continue. I know absolutely nothing about the pitching coach. He could come to my front door and I'd have no idea who he was.

I've seen the place on Zillow, I thought maybe he might want to use it as an event space rental (like for weddings, proms, things of that nature)... would be a nice source of secondary income, not that Tony V needs it

Not cool for Tony to be taking Frank to SF. He does not need him in the pros. Who would be possible pitching coach if we need one?
Some of you guys keep looking at this exclusively from one side. It isn't necessarily about whether Tony needed Frank, or not. Frank may have wanted to finish his career in an off-the-field role and also get a taste of Major League Baseball out the door. Tony is simply the conduit providing him that opportunity that he has earned.

This isn't Tony Vitello kicking Tennessee while they're down. It is Tony Vitello demonstrating loyalty and providing opportunity to the guys who got him to where he is as the first MLB manager ever to come from the college ranks. All these guys who are leaving have a choice to make...Tony isn't forcing them to leave. He is giving them the career opportunity of a lifetime. The choice is theirs to make, not his.

Agreed. McCann is 100% gone/going. TN arguably lost the best head coach, best S&C coach, best pitching coach, and best scouting director/video coordinator/analytics in college baseball. Impossible not to have a drop off IMHO. All were highly passionate, had tons of experience, and uber competitive.
Now, it’s up to the new dream team of coaches to take the baton…. They have their work cut out for them. I don’t get the hate for CTV or for these coaches going to MLB. It’s a dream come true for any baseball coach.
I cant agree with you on this part of your post

If the dream of all baseball coaches in college was to coach in the MLB the would be much more movement to the MLB from college than we see. Strange thing is that Frank is not being hired as the pitching coach. And Q came back to TN after a short time in MLB because he did not care for working with the MLB players.....

It’s never happened in the history of MLB because Vitello is one of one. He’s a unicorn. Plus, Q does NOT want to do the day-to-day duties of a S&C Coach. He will be a coordinator much like Frank will be a coordinator. Much more organizational influence and less of a grind than daily hands on with just a set group of players.

But Frank isn’t going to be the “coordinator”. He is only coaching the MLB Giants per Kendall Rogers - so Frank is not going to be calling the pitching shots (“His role will not extend down the organization to the MiLB ranks.”) for entire franchise which is strange.

My point was that you said it’s every coaches dream to coach in the MLB. That’s just not true.
