The Florida game was one of the best games of the season. Our team played incredibly well, but Chris Fowler can't help himself. He always has to find something disparaging to say about the Vols. Well, this time he is getting called out for it.

The SEC is brutal these days; the level of parity now is more similar to the NFL. I don't think people realize how good Florida is in spite their 3-8 record. They beat Texas, they nearly beat Georgia, and gave Ole Miss a run for their money. They've had 1 bad game this year (against Kentucky) and that's it.

They were fired up and we won on both sides of the ball. That was a Florida team still fighting into the 4th Quarter; they never gave up until the last 2 minutes when the writing was on the wall. There's a reason we still had Joey out there until the very end.

It was a very good win for us. We hit that FG against Georgia, and we're playing for a Playoff spot this week against Vandy.

Anyone complaining or trying to diminish this should be shut down immediately. This was, effectively, a blow-out win in the Swamp. That's rare to get.

Not a real fan of his sidekick, but he did multiple times COUNTER those slurs by pointing out how well they played in other losses.

The SPORTS source guys just pointed out how our last 2 drives consumed over 13 minutes and how NOTHING is more demoralizing than that for a team.

They renamed half our team and going in and out of breaks liked to say Florida was leading, it was an embarrassment for what is considered one of their top announcing teams.
Even Herbie was screwing up names.

I just feel like if you get paid big $$$ to do this every week, it's a huge honor and privilege, and you should KNOW the teams well. Know the player names. Know who plays at what position.

These guys eventually get so famous. stop caring, and get very sloppy. It's not that different from teachers who have tenure and quit caring years ago, except these guys make millions. Feel like if you make that much money, it's inexcusable.

Not to defend Fowler, but it’s completely obvious that he knows nothing about TN football. I mean “Jerry”!?! On the other hand, Herbie can’t use ignorance as an excuse.

He works for a billion dollar company with researchers and a production staff. I think he’s high in the booth but again that doesn’t explain why he’s such an ass.

This board can never be even keeled. Last week I'm arguing with Negas who insanely want to Fahr Heupel, this morning I've already seen numerous posts of insane pumper takes reading way too much into beating a team with 20 scholarship players out and nothing to play for. Next week will be harder, and it will decide whether we exceed our preseason over/under (8.5 most places) or not. Win next week and we feel better going into the off-season, lose and truthfully we're not in really any different shape. Either way, we'll be right around where we were projected to be and will only have lost to good teams. The bottom line is thankfully we now have a coach who performs essentially as expected in a "down" year. For a decade plus, with the 3 Stooges, we would have an 8.5 preseason over/under and finish 5-7. Anyway, some of y'all need Lithium. 🤣🤣🤣

Herbie is an Ohio State homer, but he does sometimes try to be fair.

I have not and will not give either of them a listen.
I loathe ESPN as much as humanly possible.
Vol Network is exponentially more informative and entertaining.

my favorite part is when he wouldn't shut up about Tennessee putting the foot on the gas and how Huepel never lets up and shows no mercy and then Tennessee proceeded to score no more points 😂
Give it a rest, dude!

We won in the Swamp for the first time in 22 years in what was effectively a blow-out. All you've done is make disparaging negaVol posts about he we didn't score more. Yes, we could have easily run up the score. We didn't, because we were dominating the Gators so much we could just run out the clock.

I felt like they highlighted how well Tennessee played and came out and took control of the game and never let up. They highlighted Tennessee dominating the line of scrimmage. They did this throughout the game. They also highlighted how Florida was depleted and how they might have been less motivated after being down multiple scores. All is true 🤷

Hard to talk non-stop for 4 hours without saying saying something stupid or offensive. I wish they would stick to the game, calling substitutions, pointing out formations, and in Kirk’s case explaining why plays worked or not. I couldn’t care less about all the other nonsense they use as filler.

They had clearly given up way earlier than that.

There is plenty of talent on that team, but they weren’t exactly great and they had multiple bad games.

Credit Heupel for showing up for an SEC night game with his team laser focused to the point we had them dismantled, defeated, and surrendering after half time.

It was a great WIN and a great first HALF, but hardly a great GAME.
