It could be he was a former media member. Maybe he said something CBJ didnt like. Butch doesnt seem too fond of the media anyway.
Idk, just seems like if this were true we would have heard from more than 1 single player.
Doesn't CBJ do a VFL weekend every year? I'm not saying those guys shouldn't be treated special however are you going to give up 3 million in donations on a yearly basis to open up a sky box for letterman?
lol:A close friend of mine played tailback for Tennessee for 3 years. After graduation, he purchased 4 tickets on the east side about 20 rows up in section C and held them for years without any donation. Then UT informed him that to hold the seats he would have to donate several hundred dollars per year. He did not donate and they reassigned him to a horrible seats in the north end zone. He holds several football records, etc. That is how UT treats former players. Ask Curt Watson as they "screwed" him too...he no longer attends games.

I happen to know a couple of former All American players at other SEC schools - one at UF is a season ticket holder (he pays for that) and another at UGA is like any other fan. He doesn't have season tickets and if he wants to go to a single game, he searches for a ticket like other fans.
I think we have a game each year that the former players are invited to but don't know if this is a fact. I think access to facilities was denied to former players under Dooley but isn't denied now. I don't think this access means that former players get free tickets to games...but I could be wrong!
