Former Player's Opinion on Current Program

It's still hard to stomach that we can't run the ball with a returning OL that was supposed to surprise some people.

I'm with you on that point. Being young and having difficulty running the ball is one thing, but the O-line has just been plain bad.

I agree with you, I can't figure out why others don't get it. You don't have 2 full time starting LB's unless situation is bad. Aside from
DR we have no WR's other than freshman, that's not normal either. This situation sucks. But people turning on the one man trying to fix it all is silly.

I agree.

If you're honestly too dumb to understand the difference between our situations and those two, you ought to be banned from this board. You offer absolutely nothing except misinformed, ignorant garbage.

Maybe you should stick to basketball, no one needs your misinformed, ignorant garbage on here, your not defending anyone, just name calling because you know you can't defend this.

we took 8 seniors and 8 juniors with us to Gainesville. find another team ever with that few upperclassman.

CDD cant make all of our players superstars overnight, it is not the fact that we are getting beat, overpowered, and out manned. it is the fact that we are the the Joke of the SEC because of the product that we put on the field. this team is not ready for the SEC, Tyler Bray and Justin hunter helped mask that for a while, but now we will see what we will look like.
We lost by 18 total to 2 pretty good football clubs. Give us back 3 guys (JH, JJ, TB) and we'd not be laughed at often if ever. In any league. Injuries ***** slap a talent shallow team. No one likes to be slapped but it's reality.

The name calling needs to stop . . . but what exactly is he having trouble defending?

People like you are beyond help. I've defended this entire thread and now you're siding with the same clown that is utterly clueless about everything concerning UT athletics. Says a lot about you.

so we can't blame CDD but it's all CPF fault. You have a valid point, but CPF didn't run those players off. he has done a whole lot more for the program than CDD has or will do if he dosent right this ship.
As a whole this is true regarding CPP. However; he left the program far worse than when he took over, he has never publicly acknowledged responsibility for his primary role in causing this to happen, and his negligence in causing this to happen directly led to the series of events (Kiffin, transfers, etc.) that followed his very necessary firing.

Oh, and by the way, IMO.

What would you rather see us do on defense? If you honestly access things, there aren't a lot of options right now . . . and despite the breakdowns, we held a pretty decent SEC offense to 20 points which should be enough to win most of the time.

you think georgia's offense is decent? i sure dont... where are all these off the wall blitz packages that we heard about when we got wilcox in here?.. do we even blitz?

CDD, it can't be done at this time, all anyone can say I "Hope" he is a good coach, he has never proved it anywhere at any level as a head coach.

I thought we blitzed with at least some frequency. It almost always got picked up by Georgia's line and backs.

Exactly. People that say "alot a teams are young" can't name a team that has 70% underclassman and such few seniors starting....and then be beating teams they're not expected to beat.

Yup wish #10 and never been on that horrific island by himself but other than that the play was not bad. We slowly gave that game away because of inconsistent play. TB also did not do well at all with their DB's, IMO. But that must all be Chaney's fault too.

They gave up 20 points. That's he fewest Uga has scored all year. Let's at least try to make somewhat legitimate criticisms.

Everybody always says that. The problem with exotic blitzes is you have to play coverage in behind them. Did you notice what we looked like trying to play man coverage with no help Saturday night? We were losing guys in space all over the place.

Teague and Lanier was beat all night on the long post patterns, just lucky they didn't connect on more of them.

Alabama won an NC with a large group of sophomores and freshmen in Saban's 2nd season. I guess someone forgot to tell him they were too young to be good. I think Urban Meyer did the same thing in his 2nd season.

His third season at Bama, actually, and after coaching for more seasons than I can count at Michigan State, LSU, the Miami Dolphins, and Bama at the end.

Urban Meyer followed Spurrier and the cubbard wasn't exactly bare when he got there.

Furthermore, neither coach had a team with 70% freshman and sophomores and they never had to clean up a mess like the one left by CPP & CLK when they came into a program.

I was talking with someone earlier tonight about all the playaction/counter boot stuff that UGA was doing to move Murray around. It was painful to watch Murray break containment and us just not have the speed to put any heat on him.

well if you blitz once in a while, you just might get to the quaterback and hurry him, instead if letting him pick our defense apart

No, it's called being realistic. We held them to their lowest output of the year with a limited roster. I'm sure you predicted the score in he prediction thread. How many points did you predict Uga to score.
