Former Player's Opinion on Current Program

please name the teams that compare to UT's situation and are doing better...

I am not saying they are in the same situation, but Texas has played 18 freshmen, Florida 15, etc. But was it for one play? I don't really know about them, but we are doing it out of necessity. I would like to see stats on how many seniors they play, start, etc. compared to us. This is not the only problem, though. You also have to look at the fact that our OL and many of the other freshmen or sophomores never had any upperclass starters to mentor them. One of the biggest issues is they haven't had anything other than other frosh and sophomores to practice against. Makes a huge difference.

I'm not going to say much because right now everyone seems bat shizz crazy with another loss and the loss of TB. I am disappointed but you look at this team, the injuries, the turnover and I ask all these pissed off or moaning fans including Terry, what are you expecting?

If Terry really thinks that, he's stupid. Hopefully, it's just an emotional response.

Oh I know. But coaching can make up for some of it, and I've yet to see it up to this point.

It was absolutely there with Cincy, IMO. That was our game plan exectuted well but with a few gaps by youth early on. Every game since has been us tinkering with our glaring holes cause by JJ, JH and now TB.

Nobody is claiming to be brilliant here. The talent and experience gap is glaring though.

I think our athletes are as good or better then Boise State's. They beat Georgia pretty easily in Georgia.

They were junior and senior laden. 90% of our issues are depth and youth/inexperience.

Freshman LB's, Freshman DB's, Freshman receivers, freshman RB.

If he's spreading that crap, he's either stupid or not acknowledging reality. Take your pick. You're more along the lines of the former.

Newsflash -- Florida is younger than us and Georgia is nearly as young as us. Youth is not the reason for our poor performance; didn't seem to bother Crowell and Mitchell last night, did it?

Not comparable. All of their main contributors are juniors and seniors. Ours are freshmen and sophomore.

Ding ding ding

And most of our playmakers are now all wiped out. It's sickening how a fan base turns their back as the team battles some super nasty adversity.

Both teams are both better on both lines. Most of the line issues are depth and experience related. We want Sophmores to play like seniors.

You must have missed their roster or, as usual, don't know what you're talking about.

Freshmen or Sophomore Starters
Florida - 12
Tennessee - 11

Florida's DL is likely the youngest in college football, while their OL has 2 sophomore starters, and their sixth OL who rotates in is also a sophomore. Talent and performance is the issue more so than youth.

Christ Vegas you're sad. The difference is these teams have young talent like it. The difference is they have veteran contributors that take the pressure off the young players. That's a luxury your hero didn't leave us.

so we can't blame CDD but it's all CPF fault. You have a valid point, but CPF didn't run those players off. he has done a whole lot more for the program than CDD has or will do if he dosent right this ship.
