Completely agree. Scoring on that drive to end the half, and then scoring on the opening drive to start the 2nd half, was a major turning point in the game.

Cool story bro. The way Hooker was playing we could have put another TD on UF. Heupel took his foot off the gas on SC last year. Just like he did against UF. Now against crap teams? I have no issue with that. Against SEC teams? Absolutely not. You keep your foot on their neck.

Perhaps the only thing I would have changed is I would have had Hooker fake to Smalls and keep the ball on one of the runs. Florida was heavily keying in on Smalls as everyone new we were going to run the ball... Hooker could have gone for a good 10 - 20 yards!

No doubt…….however what your missing is if Tennessee doesn’t and leaves more time on the clock…….what happens?

We don’t know if Tennessee would have scored or what “would” have happened…….however we do know what did happen and Tennessee won.

My goodness…….your still doing the “what and would” that you talked about.

Neither you nor I know what “would”……..we do know Tennessee won.

Certainly “if” Tennessee had scored again. However what “if” they didn’t and left more time on the clock? What if they didn’t force Florida to use all their TO’s?

We don’t know…….we do know Heupels decision worked in the end.

The real problem is…. This type offense isn’t made to be passive. There really isn’t a gear down. Also, with all the moment and Hooker playing like he was. Should of just called and easy out or an all go and have hooker scramble for the first.

what no one is really talking about is the lack of pass rush. It hasn’t been there except for a small portion of the Pitt game and that was LB blitz’s for the most part.

All in all. We won. We learn. We move forward.

They weren't able to stop us all day. No reason to believe they would have started. Play with confidence.

Very happy that we got the W. But if we don’t fix some things, we have no chance against Bama or UGA. We are in the right path and glad to have Heupel.
And in my long life of watching sports, I have NEVER been able to get over frustration when a team that is doing what they need to do to win inexplicably STOPS doing what got them In a position to win in the first place 😬
We could have burned clock late while not totally abandoning our play book.

Agree, except at DB Coaching. Our secondary looked horrible the last time he coached here and they look equally as bad now. The coverage and tackling was as bad as it gets. But in saying that, I'm proud of them for finishing the game right. Go Vols!

In rivalry games I throw everything out the window. Nothing is ever easy with Florida. It's the nature of the beast.

Yup they called defensive holding on us but missed a blatant holding on the same play while Richardson was running out of the pocket. Literally everyone in the stadium saw it.

That’s what kept them from sacking him on that completed pass that took so long to develop.
Just glad I wasn’t the only one that noticed it.

I was thinking that he should have kept the pressure on, but you're right. Listen, if the defense makes just two stops on all those 3rd and 4th down conversions, we win this game by 3-4 scores. We were a couple of defensive plays from a blowout. Those plays will come.

Think of potential recruits watching this game, seeing this atmosphere and how much fun it is to play in this system in an environment like this. The game today was a recruiting dream come true.
