We are even in the number of blue chip recruits and Florida has a lot of room left, although I do not know how many blue chippers are still available. If you’re talking about Perkins, his mother is driving that train. For whatever reason she has no love for Texas A&M, but loves UF.

Jackson State is also in the running for Perkins, if you believe the rumors out there.

Not saying one is better than the other but there’s a difference between being a cold blooded killer and drunk driving. One has clear intent to take another life, while the other made a horrible decision under the influence. It’s not that difficult to separate the two.

Winners and Losers from National Signing Day 2022

Losers

Florida: While there was an impressive close in holding off Alabama for offensive lineman Jalen Farmer, misses on offensive prospects Trevonte Citizen and Matthew McCoy to in-state rival Miami sting. Late buzz for the highest-ranked recruit on the board, linebacker Harold Perkins, was for naught as another fresh-on-the-job staff picked him up in Brian Kelly and LSU. The Gators added just one prospect Wednesday, wide receiver Caleb Douglas, despite being in the mix for several—including a few where confidence was tangible late in the game. The overall close under Billy Napier was strong enough to get the program in the top 25 rankings, though.
