Florida players are unusually loud this year at SECMD

I hope players address it in a way they don't really address it if that makes sense? We have three senior leaders there and they are focused even at media days to not get caught up in the trash talking.

I do hope that there is a ton of trash talking on the field though. I want Hurd running over people and just standing over them, I want JRM to celebrate multiple sacks while the QB peels himself off the ground. I want Evan Berry to Deion Sanders high step into the endzone after returning a KO for a td!

That type of behavior is beneath our team. They celebrate with each other rather than wasting their time with the competition.

They are more likely to show class than to show their ......

Truth.

Hate to say it but McElwein is 10x better than Butch Jones as a coach.

And it's entirely based on swagger and confidence.

I hate how Butch Jones downplays expectations at every turn and heaps praise on the opponent.

I like my coach to heap praise on our team and have confidence against EVERY opponent.

Holy sh*t, stop posting.

If you hate to say it, then don't say it.

10X? So what if we stomp Florida? What does that say about McElwain that he gets beaten by a man that has 1/10th of his ability. Pretty much paints him as a coach that must really stink.

OK, I bit.. Promised myself I wouldn't..

Nothing.

Butch Jones has the better team. He should win.

Steve Spurrier talked some of his best noise ever last year this time. Whatevs happened with that? :)

I live in Florida and can tell you with complete certainty that Florida fans are without question the most pompous prick heads I've ever been around!
Because of them my hatred of all things uf has now surpassed even bama!

That is all

I spoke to some Florida State fans when I was down there on vacation. They informed me that they couldn't stand Gator or Bama fans because they were by far the most obnoxious, in your face fans.

Obviously, I quickly found common ground with them.

Most people I speak with in fact, think that Gator fans are the worst fans on earth.

My first VN post. I am married to a Gator and her Gator family. In the 11 years I have known her, we have never beaten them. Please Butch, I implore you, put a stop this year (and hereafter) to the madness.

Maybe you are the jinx?

Divorce in 3...2...

I think they were in worse shape than you realize if you just want to lay that mess all in the lap of Treon Harris.

Let's look at that rushing game at the end of the year:

vs Vanderbilt, Florida had 34 attempts for 93 yards (2.7 yards per carry)
vs Florida Atlantic, Florida had 44 attempts for 130 yards (3.0 yards per carry)
vs Alabama, Florida had 21 attempts for 15 yards (0.7 yards per carry)

Now, how about that supposedly great defense of yours?

Michigan had 503 yards of total offense vs Florida (225 yards rushing and 278 yards passing)

Had a lot more to do than just Treon. O-line problems were many. All your stats just back up what I've been saying. They weren't good.

wow - it must be true love then if you have overcome that.

It's put up or shut up time, IMO. Afraid that our win this year won't put an end to their talking smack. For this to be a "rivalry" again, we have to win more than once.

Here's to the beginning of 11 years of Vol dominance! We've served our time in purgatory -- we've got this.

FSU fans are one to talk. I have never met a more pompous and condescending fan base. They are worse than UGA.

I don't think Florida is scared, obviously, it's just started to get to the point where I am beginning to believe they actually are a little more anxious/nervous about this game than usual.

The noise level around the game has amped up considerably and they are taking shots whenever they can. Teams that have nothing to worry about and know they are superior don't make noise like that. I just hope we can finally pull the victory out. And I hope that this is the one game Butch throttles the accelerator the whole time. I don't care if it's 34-10 in the 4th quarter keep playing your starters and run up the score if possible. Demoralize them please!!!!

I love hurd. Big fan. But if he puts his left foot in the ground, and cuts back another 5 feet to his right at the end of that run instead of trying to run over a DB, he scores. Kamara would have scored on that run because he doesnt seek contact. Flame away, its true. I love that play, but it could have scored. 2 blockers to his right.

I love the VOL NATION!

This is thread # 4 about the Gators. Every one of the threads talk about how scared the Gators are yet I can't find a single thread on any of the Gator sites, dealing with the vols.

The Gator team and coaches know this is going to be a good year. We finally have a few QBs that can see over the line. We have receivers and TEs that we can throw to. We have10-15 linemen that have been in the same offense, same O-Line coach for two strainght years. We have the same coaching staff in place for two straight years (except for DB and that was an upgrade).

On defense, we have all the starters back to be better than last year.

We have a kicker!!!!

We have a punter that can flip the field.

We have a punt returner that can take it to the house.

We had a young team that found ways to win tight ballgames last year. Your veteran team failed at that last season.

Where your coach said that it would take 7 years to build the team into a contender, our coach came in with 6 O-Linemen and a high school athlete playing QB, and won 10 games and took us to the SEC Championship.

Gentlemen, keep reading the "experts" tell you that the Gators are a 3rd place team in the East. Keep reading that UT is the team to beat because Dobbs is the most experienced QB in the East. That's all FOOLS GOLD.

Yet, here you are...
All the propaganda you've been fed about your team seems a little foolish as well.

That's personality type and has nothing to do with coaching ability. Fighters praise their opponents all the time. Its called gamesmanship. I know that that is lost on the attention who're mentality that most have nowadays.

You cant find any threads about the vols? Go check out Swamp Gas and come back.

Finally have some QB's huh....Ok. Guess we'll have to agree to disagree that a three time transfer with 18 career passes is the savior.

Thanks for the info. We'll keep it in mind. Also, after the game, when you visit Jalen in the hospital, tell him VN said hi...:)

GO VOLS!

I kind of agree with Homer Gator in the sense that we as VolNation are droning on and on about Florida. As others have said, we just need to put up or shut up.. and until we put up, let's just shut up, because otherwise we're giving Florida way too much recognition, regardless of the context.

I think we should line up and let the boys play. We'll see who's drinking the koolaid and who's team is ready to make a serious impact on the SEC East. Go VOLS!

I'm still waiting for you to actually take me up on my bet. Take your pick. You said we lose 27-9 at home. Which one do you want to lose money on? Tennessee to cover +18.5? TN to score more than 9? Or TN just outright wins the game?

All your claims are equally asinine so I'll be more than happy to take money from you on all 3 bets.
