I like to think how loud/crazy Neyland will be if we beat UF. Possibly louder than '98 or '04?
After the florida win, will fans storm the field, tear down the goal posts, and parade them around town like 1998??
Depends on whether or not the school lets it happen / puts security in place to prevent it.
Then again, they might also be fine with paying a $250,000 fine.
Just wait until this season and you will understand how loud Neyland truly is in primetime. Last years OU game was so loud that I plugged my ears because it was so damn painful.
I'm making a speech to my section before the Florida game. I need to make sure the fans know how crucial this is for the program.

Exactly. Well know fact that had it not been for the system(single-wing), he would have gone to UT, but went with his 2nd choice of Florida.
Thank you for the help.
Jump higher Vols.
I think we beat Florida this year but I'm concerned about the emotional toll that a win like that would take on the team. Believing that you can win is just the first step in learning to win. The UF game will be huge but this team will have to snap and clear after a big W just as they do an L.
2001 Florida comes to mind. That was a very emotional win and the team seem drained the next week against LSU. I hope the coaches are prepared to manage this team because it's a long season.
True, and it was the most bizarre reaction to a game-tying touchdown I've ever seen with that much time left to play.
It was as if because UT was supposed to win big, UF wasn't supposed to compete.
It was because a slow, white TE outran our entire pathetic defense.
The wheels totally came off after that play.
The fan base was never fully behind Dooley - they were just waiting for something bad to happen. When it did, the team fell apart and so did the fans. It happened over and over under Dooley. A minor thing,or major, would go against us and instead of fighting back, the team would just give up. Never seen a team quit in the 2nd half of games like Dooleys teams did.
Could it be one of the loudest ever in Neyland? The shakers are going to be sick. There is a good shot both of us will be ranked inside the top 20. I haven't missed a game against Florida since 06, I've never seen us beat them in person. It would a great way too off my senior year.
Why would the fan base of a prohibitive favorite over a lesser team storm the field after what many expect to be an easy home win?
Because 100,000 screaming, drunken idiots can get out of hand spontaneously.
