Florida cancels game vs Northern Colorado

there will be no talk of forfeits... no one is about to propose that when you have loss of lives, homes and everything else that is about to happen. SEC would look really bad to even hint that

We could always postpone the SECC game by one week like we did in 01. Hell, drop a few bowl games that no one cares about if needed

Wonder if the 9 players still suspended for the Northern Colorado game will remain suspended the following week.

You guys are missing something, maybe because you've never been through a cat 5 hurricane. If this path holds and this monster rolls right through the middle of Florida from the bottom up on Monday or Tuesday next week, Florida and Tennessee will NOT be playing on 9/16.

Your board doesn't look much different than the posters your replying to.

Irma could also impact Auburn vs Clemson and a couple other games depending on which track it takes. If the UT vs UF game is cancelled, not sure when it could be rescheduled. Our off week they play LSU at home. Their off week we play Alabama. We play UMASS, Georgia, and South Carolina at home before playing Alabama away. Not playing Florida and being undefeated going into Bama would be a good thing.

Did ya'll hear the old guy on the weather channel that stated he's been through 15 hurricanes and three in one month? He said "at this point it likes rolling out of bed". LoL. It's worse then the ones in recent history but Florida handles these things better then any place on earth. Miami will get some windows broken and such but this is more about money from trump. That's why Texas was so awesome. They are doing it with people power. Tennessee may get it worse then Florida.

I don't even know what to say.

We all need to hope Irma moves. It is comes straight up through Florida, it is not just Florida that is going to have issues next week.

Based on the info going around right now this situation is way different than last year. Hindsight is 20/20 and we all know Gainesville didn't take a bit hit last year but this storm is already a killer and it is lining up for a perfect 7-10 split down Florida. This is not a storm to be messed with.

First and foremost all of you lousy, stinking, no good Gators be safe. The games(s) will all get figured out later.

Hopefully this precaution isn't needed as the hurricane forecast changes. Bit with a storm of this magnitude, it's better safe than sorry. If UT-uf is cancelled too, the SEC offices will figure something out.

Ummm, he needs to bring his head up out of those double D's, starting to asphyxiate.

Post was stupid. I've been through several of these storms and they demand respect. If it hits Miami at a Cat 5, yes, there will be broken windows, in the Peterbuilt hanging from the top of the 10 story high rise condominium 15 miles inland.
