Where was Richardson that game? Right, on the bench. Y’all are ready to name him the next Michael Vick and Johnny Manziel combined after one game. Utah was terrible at keeping contain from what I saw. Maybe Richardson will toast SEC teams too. We’ll see.Florida beat us 38-14 last season with Emory Jones lol and we have Tim Banks as DC. I don’t have a good feeling about beating Florida
Or... Utah is a very well coached team that according to 247 would have the 13th most talented team if they played in the SEC. Their 705.12 rating is only better than Vandy. It is about 10 points behind Mizzou. By the same measure, they're the 6th most talented team in the PAC12.The fact remains that Utah was ranked 7th. Maybe that’s a farce, but until the season plays out, you’re just hoping.
You're not accounting for other teams that recruit well in Florida but they should have a leg up against Miami and FSUPretty simple they have 70 4&5 stars in state every year. They can miss on 50 and have a good class and get to cross the border like everyone else for fits and legacies. Even if you divide by 3 to allow for FSU and MIA that is 20+. But being in the SEC and THE state university that should give them a leg up.
I guess I’m the only one here with battered vol syndrome. Good to know.Or... Utah is a very well coached team that according to 247 would have the 13th most talented team if they played in the SEC. To your point... if you are a UT fan and you are "hoping" at this point... I'd rather have my take than what yours apparently is.
Fair statement. I do think that Florida is alot better than most, including me, expected. But they did play a PAC-12 team, and while they’re really good they’re still PAC-12.At the end of the day you still have to realize that Utah is a PAC-12 team….. they are terrible against SEC opponents.
Hope that Burrell will be replaced by that game. No, Tennessee doesent.
Until they show consistency on offense against someone with a pulse the last thing anyone wants is to trade scores. Utah traded scores and you saw how that ended. Furthermore, can Tennessee be physical upfront to make them respect the running game outside of Hooker? We know Hooker will make plays but Sampson, Small, or Wright have to step up and carry the load. Tennessee will have to be solid upfront picking up blitz packages, pass blocking and run blocking. I expect they’ll roll coverage to Tilman to take the first read away. Here’s to Bru making them respect his skill set on that day.
Then there’s the defense… Oh boy the defense.
LB play will be off the charts important all night. No mental errors, no missed assignments. The front 4 will have to find ways to get consistent pressure and for the love of orange don’t crash hard and bite on the fake. They wont completely stop Richardson but they must contain and limit the explosive plays. If Burrell shows he can’t consistently cover their receivers it’s time to make the call.
Projected 1st round QB that is "unbelievably bad at passing". More made up bs.
