You dispute that the east will be down this year? I see no real football teams in the east except FLA. Uga is going down hill with the loss of their only offense. USC is usc....not a power house, just an annoying team, TN has fell to a low, maybe they bring it up..maybe not...well see. FLA wins the east, and there is a huge gap between the level of them and the runner up.

Taking crap? Nobody has thrown any his way....its been him slinging mud since day 1. I hope he can cash those checks he's writing you guys or FLA will be calling time outs to try and hang 100 on you guys. I know you think people forget, and fans do forget...but when you print this stuff out and put it in the locker room its hard to forget. UM wont forget it...bank on it.

i still think the point of the "violation" is not that a phone call was made, but the number of phone calls made. per that link of ncaa violations, a coach can call a recruit during his junior and senior year, while that recruit is on an official visit. the coach, however, can only call the recruit or his parents ONCE, whereas the recruit can call the coach as many times as they want.

so the uf compliance officer is correct in the fact that a coach can contact a recruit while they're on an official visit, but he never mentioned that it was legal for the coach to repeatedly call the recruit while they're on that visit. i believe that's the defining point.

You never know, because recruiting is such a dirty game, but Kiffin said the thing that surprised him the most was how much other coaches trashed each other through the recruiting process. I'm sure he was on the wrong end of too many of these and decided to spout off a little bit.

My point is we beat KY and Vandy. Wyoming has no bearing on where we finish in the SEC. If you want to bash us for losing at least know who we lost to and when it counts in the SEC. Was that good enough re-reading for you?

I totally agree ... I don't think this has anything to do with Meyer contacting him while on an official visit. It has to do with the number of times he contacted (or tried to contact) him.

It is not a violation, but Kiffin knew that. He wanted Meyer to make sure he knew about what he was doing so he wouldn't do it again when UT has recruits on campus.

It was a smart play. He said that he was going to turn him right here - meaning to all the people at the conference and the media.

He had no intention of filing an NCAA complaint because it isn't one. He did get the Gators attention though.

Mission accomplished.
