Stop doing the comparative score thing.

Florida isn't good. Tennessee isn't good.

Let the battle to determine who sucks more begin!

During the UTEP game one of the commentators mentioned the Florida game being next week. He then went on to say something like ā€œremember the days of Fulmer vs Spurrier back when that game was big boy footballā€. Kind of humbling.

I dont see them scoring 48 but the Vols O line and D line have been so underwhelming to date I have a hard time seeing a win.

I think if the fans actually show up to scream and holler like we have in the past it "should" make it tough for Florida to put up points on us if they aren't that good this season. Making it a closer evenly matched game.

Don't know if it's just me but crowd noise at Neyland seems worse this year than it's ever been. I know we've only played ETSU and UTEP but playing teams like that in the past never stopped our fans from rocking Neyland.

The Vols are going to need our noise next weekend if they want that gator meat.

We've been preparing for Florida for 2 weeks. Fans dont care about utep

It doesn't really matter what the scores were...the winner next week will be the team that makes the fewest mistakes....I don't think either is significantly better or worse than the other...

GBO!

This... and like it was in the 90s, the team that rushes for more yardage wins. Just hoping we don't make Franks look like a Davey OBrien nominee.

I have faith in the Vols. Maybe it's my orange colored glasses but I'm not impressed with Florida either. I think it will be a dogfight and an ugly one at that. We will be in it with a chance to win in the 4th. Whether we make the plays at the right times is to be determined. I still like our chances.

It hasn’t been that way for a while.

It can’t remember the last time these two played a quality football game.

Forget the records of the teams with this.

I can’t remember the last time I watched this game without multiple facepalms

I'm not impressed by Florida one bit. There offense is uninspiring. I don't think Franks has the best instincts and saw him miss open guys against KY. I like our defense to contain them on the scoreboard. Other than getting torn up by a Heisman candidate who was throwing dimes, we have been more sound and consistent on that side of the ball. As as long as our D-Line shows up and gives a halfway decent pass rush we give our team a great chance to win.

On offense, we should be fired up. Poor offensive-line play and self-inflicted wounds, such as fumbles and penalties, sum it up. We have shown we have some talent. Good RB group, some talent at WR, improved play by JG, a big TE in Wood-Anderson...so we can string some nice drives together, but we need average O-Line play and clean football...that's it. Even then, I think we fare well, but we need our O-Line to get fired up and give our offense more opportunities to use our weapons.

CSU lost to Hawaii... they aren’t good. Also check Felipe Frank’s stats.

Can we play the game before we call it a loss?

If the Gators beat Colorado St 48-10

Do you think they will beat the Vols even worse?

Do the Vols somehow make the game close?

I have my thoughts, what are yours?

Get ready VN
Get ready

Let's calm down, Florida can't stop the run at all. CSU can't run well to begin with either. Plus CSU only has one win the season, against Arkansas and Arky just lost to North Texas 44-17. CSU is a dumpster fire. They literally gave away 3 fumbles, 2 inside their own 20 and Florida only got 6 out of it. Frank's isn't good, and Florida has a sputtering offense. Florida and UT match up very evenly.

If we stop Florida's run game, we beat them. It's simple.

Franks will keep UT in the game, fear not VN.
Agreed, he has late reads that cause him to be careless with the ball. We will most likely get a pick or two vs UF, but the key is can our offense put together a drive to score with those TOs.

The Vols beat Frank's last year, didn't they?
