‘23 FL OT Francis Mauigoa (Miami commit)

You gotta give this staff credit for getting as far as they have with people like Tate and Mauigoa. To not even be in these recruitment until the 11th hour and legit have a shot in itself is amazing but shows were building something special.Give it another year and these are the types of recruiting battles will win on the regular..Just gotta have faith and patience
That’s like giving credit to the team that hangs around the game but ultimately loses. Heupel’s gotta be a better closer with these top recruits.

AP doesn’t know all man…think clearly. Cristobal played OL, Coached OL, had been recruiting him for years at Oregon.

The only shot we had was Nico and NIL.
Far and away leader until it’s clearly reported Miami throws a much better NIL deal at him but sure, it’s about that long relationship

Losing to Ohio or Alabama or Georgia is to be expected. Losing to Miami is a bad sign. A very bad sign imo. After this I have no confidence closing with any blue chip players this year. Heup will have to win this year to do better. I just hope we can keep Nico when it's time to sign the papers at this point.

Yall its not about relationships anymore...its all about the money. Its the only reason we got Nico and the reason we lost out on Tate and Mauigoa. I mean for god sakes the one coach at OSU pretty much told Tate that he wouldnt be a first round pick if he went anywhere else....then the kid turns around and goes there.

Nico has to be frustrated
As much as you don't want to think about this it does really make you wonder if he is having 2nd thoughts. Because when he committed there was a feel of momentum there and it is gone. I hope he is not and I hope he is a sure thing but you have to wonder.

This isn’t on Heupel, but Spyre/the university gotta pick up the funding. We cannot be losing bidding battles like this or we will fall even further behind what we already are fast.

Need to hear the what the bid was. I am sure they have a max bid in mind for these guys. IF IF IF it is just a money thing, it ain't over till he signs... still plenty of time to flip if we can justify a better offer, but that might not be how we want to spend our money.

Except Miami has been landing studs lately and throwing around millions. It isn’t just about prestige anymore.

They just took a corner from UGA too.

No, we shouldn’t give them credit for ALMOST landing two five stars. At the end of the day they couldn’t get the job done and that’s what matters. Spyre turns out to be a joke and we got lucky getting Nico, without him, what does our class look like?
