I don't know how many of you have known anyone from Samoa, but there's a big expectation that anyone who lives/works in the US will be able to send money back or really help the family from a financial standpoint. Nothing wrong with that as it seems to be customary. The money from Miami was going to be too hard to pass up because it's all about making sure the family is set. I actually appreciate that Spyre is sticking to reasonable deals since that's the only avenue to pull off NIL deals in recruiting without any significant turmoil on the roster over NIL.

I would like to think he has more class as a person and his profession, but I agree with you. I discounted the idea until he tweeted something recently in regards to TN… can’t recall I’d it was the loss @ Super regionals or that a kid chose snot he school other than TN.

These are 17-18yr kids who are impressionable so I’m sure they will listen to their coach, esp since he was part of our program.

Oh well Bass... Sometimes its a smart thing to keep tabs on your wallet. I didn't think Francis was that kind of kid either but he used us for leverage and Miami got the money right. It happens and yes it sucks. But we will be ok.

Just set a number for certain positions and stick with it, you can maybe go up by some set number but Spend money on QB', Edge Rushers and the such if you're going to get into a bidding war
