‘23 FL OT Francis Mauigoa (Miami commit)

From Alabamas ON3 Site on their chances:
OL Francis Mauigoa (July 4): 20 percent
Alabama’s true standing in Francis Mauigoa’s recruitment is not clear. The belief is that Tennessee leads, with the Crimson Tide being potentially as high as No. 2.

We arrived at this number as we don’t envision Alabama coming out on top, but there’s reason for confidence.

If this recruitment comes down to relationships, then the Volunteers should win the Mauigoa Sweepstakes. Mauigoa has been heavily prioritized by the coaching staff, and is close with quarterback pledge Nico Iamaleava.

If development is what matters to him the most, however, then Alabama should be viewed as the school in the best position to land him. In a post-visit conversation with Mauigoa’s mother, Telesia, the Crimson Tide’s success — backed by statistics — is what caught their attention the most.

“They have a very productive, effective program,” Telesia Mauigoa said. “Looking at the data, the numbers, the statistics. They have the numbers to prove it. First Team All-American picks, conference championships, NFL Draft picks, and the graduating percentage.”

Also throw in the fact that Alabama has had a tremendous amount of success at IMG Academy, especially with five-star offensive linemen, and there’s legitimate reason for some optimism here.

Tennessee is the school we give the edge to now, but we’re not ruling out the Crimson Tide.

All I Can do is look at what facts we all know. 1. He and Nico our close and their families would be.2. He and his family loved Knoxville and this visit the most. 3. Tennessee Fans and game days 100k Miami 30k they don't care down there about football. 4. NIL Money 💰 both equal. He is and will be a Volunteer. Everybody relax. In CHRIST Alone

While Alabama and USC also have been widely regarded as serious contenders at times, sources close to his recruitment have pointed to Tennessee and Miami as the favorites to land him over the past few days. The Hurricanes felt good about their chances of beating out the Vols earlier this week, but sources said Wednesday night and Thursday morning that Tennessee now is in the best shape.

Ok. Ok.

Apologies if already ask but with the UCLA/USC announcement and rumors of teams leaving the ACC you gotta think it helps us out?
