So, gator, outside of being happy about the W, how does gator nation feel about Mac? Everyone has opinions about Butch, inside and outside of VN, but my personal opinion about Mac, though has won 2 SEC E titles, is that he's not a long termer for gators any more than Butch is our answer. It can't sit well w/ Gators that, though they won, were pretty much out played in most of stat categories, which probably doesn't give you the warm and fuzzy feeling for running the table in the east? Do you feel this is start of upwards trajectory, or more "modest success" that only keeps him around longer, and, like UT, keeps them from getting back to elite form?

I can only speak for myself. At this point, I am almost watching games without regard to the score. I am dead serious here.
I am watching them and asking is this the way it's supposed to look. Is this good football?
Year 1. Pass. It's year 1.
Year 2. Pass. You are just starting to get your guys.
Year 3. No Pass. I'm not unreasonable. I'm not expecting championship at this point. But, I think I and most of Gator nation have had it with the lack of improvement offensively.
We are not upset that we don't have an offense that looks like Spurrier's. People are upset that they don't have an offense better than 100+ in the country.
And my take is, if you are a good coach, then there should be some noticeable improvement.
There isn't any.
And so, for me, that Tennesee game had very little enjoyment. We won. But, so what? where's the program heading? Is progress being made?
I don't see it. I see better athletes on the offensive side of the ball. But, I don't see a better offense.
Like any fan, I am holding out hope that they get better as the year goes along. 1st year starting QB. yada, yada, yada.
But, I've lost faith. I don't believe anymore.
I would love to see something that changes my mind.
