Def. need this one....this situation is why I took the vandy and OSU losses so bad.
I expected us to play well, and by the end of the game, I expected us to win. To lose by just a couple really hurt, especially since we got robbed at the end of a chance to tie/win.
Of the remaining games how many do we need to win? I have heard some say 4, others 5? But yeah, LSU is on the ropes, we need this one tonight!
Tennessee needs 5 of the remaining 8. There is no way the selection committee can justify putting a team with a losing record in a league as mediocre as the SEC is this year in the field.
 yep. these three games are extremely important. agree 100%For all intents and purposes, the LSU tilt is the first tournament game of the season. A loss tonight would really make an NCAA bid a tough proposition. The same can be said of this entire homestand.
Given how the game played out, we had a chance to win it and didn't........regardless of expectation before hand, you can look back at that game now as one that got away. Not trying to stir things up by any means....but did you honestly expect us to win in Columbus........
i tend to agree. the only way we get in past that is if we win a couple of games or more in the SEC tourney.Tennessee needs 5 of the remaining 8. There is no way the selection committee can justify putting a team with a losing record in a league as mediocre as the SEC is this year in the field.
I think we can contain Davis by double and triple-teaming down low, since LSU has demonstrated they do not have much, if any, of an outside game.I dont think this is a do or die game, but it is very important. LSU is struggling right now which helps but were not exactly burning it up either. If we can just contain Davis I think we have a shot. I say we only have to win four more to get in assuming we win at least one in the tourney.
