So who is using it? I switched over a couple weeks ago and I love it -- rock solid and lightening fast.

Anyone else?

I didn't even know it was out, but I'll get on that as soon as I get back.

Can I install in conjunction with 2?

I don't think so. Unless you use one of the executable packages that can be run from a flash drive.

Firefox 3 is still technically in beta. The final release is scheduled for Tuesday, Jun 17th.

have they fixed the issues with some add-ons not working right? I downloaded the early version and couldn't get them to all work but may try it again

I'm sure it depends on the add-on. Most times the developers will release an updated version. Most of the add-ons I use had updated versions when I downloaded the beta a few weeks ago.

I will download it around August or September. Firefox is a wonderful browser and the only one I use, but there will be bugs for about 2-3 months with the final release. I look forward to using it. :)

Minor bugs maybe. I've not experienced anything. Even if it crashed once a week it would be worth it. It has a much smaller memory fingerprint.

I haven't had any issues yet.

I like the minor change in look, it really shines in Fullscreen mode.

f11 on a Mac hides all open windows and reveals the desktop.

Help (Firefox) lists Full Screen Mode but I can't seem to find it.
It isn't available on a Mac, in fact I found out that OSX doesn't normally allow apps to go fullscreen... here's a post on how to 'trick' it as best as you can.

To be honest, it's not possible to maximize a firefox window completely on a mac. However, it is possible to maximize the window to fit in the whole screen. To do this just follow these steps:

1. Create a new bookmark by right clicking on the bookmark toolbar. If you don't see the bookmark toolbar just go to View > Toolbars > check Bookmark toolbar.
2. Give the bookmark a name like Fullscreen (something that you can remember) and then paste the code below in the Location box. Make sure you paste all the code in 1 line only though, or else it won't work.

javascript:self.moveTo(0,0); self.resizeTo(screen.availWidth,screen.availHeight);

Then any time you want to go full, you just click that bookmark.

Interestingly, Alt+S is working for me in Quick Reply, but only highlights the button when I go into regular Post Reply. Is there anything that would seem to make this action different, Freak?

So I've always just used regular ol IE. What are the main advantages in switching to firefox?

Thanks for the research and the tip. I'll give it a try.

My nontechnical answer is that it's faster, seldom has errors, has better tabbed browsing and overall I just like it better.
