maybe that booster that wears the orange cowboy hat and suit will pay the buyout Monday morning -- waiting any longer is too depressing

Pruitt is Fulmers guy, He was hand picked so Fulmer has got to fix this or his head is on the chopping block too...I just knew Pruitt wasn't going to work out...This loss makes me sick but the only way to show we are sick of it is to empty neyland and not spend a nickel for that crap...I am not one to say that kind of stuff but enough is enough and they are taking advantage of the fanbase by hiring this garbage and building up everybodies excitement and then watching them take a big dump only to do the exact same thing...They could care less about winning and it shows..As long as fans and visiting fans come and spend their money wins don't matter because they are getting paid regardless...That's one thing I will say about Florida when they need a head coach they go out and TRY to hire the best available...They went after Frost and Chip Kelly and got a decent coach they were comfortable with....UT had Mike Leach interested and they hired Fulmer and he killed the deal...Big mistake...But hey aren't we used to stuff like that happening?...If this team wins 2 games it will be a miracle.

As much as I would love for Pruitt to start packing tomorrow, the more realistic scenario is that he keeps his job for now and Fulmer performs a serious assessment of the state of the program after the Georgia game. The direction of things after that game will determine a lot.

Yea, just told some friends, I'll accept I was wrong about some things if that's what makes others happy, cause that seems like what is most important to a few , but after we get past the Patting themselves on the back, let's talk about what the damn problem is, cause this was bad.

What's you take on JG now?

Stewart Mandel can suck my. Sports “journalists” who carry out a twitter grudge on fan bases are sad.

I wish we had such an elite HC. Would you list all the championships this elite HC has won?
Hard to win national championships at Texas Tech and Washington St. Did Saban win a national championship at Toledo and Michigan St? Did Les Miles win a national championship at Oklahoma St? No.

Leach wanted to come to the SEC like other elite coaches eventually did. Tennessee would be his best chance to coach at a major program and win a national championship. He knows it's not going to happen in Pullman.

Currie was trying to save his azz from being fired at any cost
Yeah and that motivated him to grab the best prospect we’ve had since Kiffin.these coaches and kids need to feel the gravity of consequence. When you don’t give your all every day, ga state happens.

Would love to fire him, but that is a checkers move.

We need to be playing chess and firing him would not do anything for us right now. We are stuck.

So you mean a 52-7 thrashing vs. Georgia is going to change anything?

Only if Fulmer allows UT to be stuck. Cut bait now. Cut your losses. An interim coach can do this poorly. So UT wouldn't be missing anything. Better off naming Jim Chaney head coach to finish out season.

Why fire him? Seriously. Why? So the UTAD can go through another s***show of a coach search and start rebuilding with “year zero” again? They’re not going to hire a guy who can beat Florida, Ala****, and Georgia on a semi-regular basis.

Just embrace the suck, buy a bag for your head, and have a few overpriced, warm beers at the game.

Gives him 5ish weeks to show significant improvement or that today's performance was a fluke. That's more than fair to Pruitt after today. Plus you'd have Mississippi State coming to town the following week which would be a good game to hand the reigns to an interim. Bottom line: if they're 1-4 with the lone win being UTC (I'm being nice and giving them that one) and they haven't shown remarkable improvement in both sides of the ball, action has to be taken.

Folks - one of the reasons UT is not going to attract a proven head coach is we have no talent. Nothing has changed there from a year ago.

Second, no one is going to want to come here and take orders from the Haslams.

This season is going to be challenging. A losing one for sure. Best to weather the storm.

Of course you don't fire Pruitt now. But you have to objectively say- it's at least a 90% chance Pruitt can't get it done here. Do not do what the 2 ADs did before you and wait until the last minute to begin the process.

And what we will be 1-3 most likely and staring down a 1-6 start to the season. You cant keep him for that long the recruits will vanish
