Well im not the person with a lawyer degree am I?

You're not a football coach either... or apparently someone with sufficient leadership or training experience to have any idea what you are talking about on any of those points.

There WILL come a time when any or all of those criticisms can be made based on a fair assessment of his ability. There will come a time when he will have had the time to assemble the tools to win and either has won or has not.

You are attempting to judge him for an inability to turn water into wine.

Dooley is the correct guy. We just have to give him time to get recruits in and develop them. Nick Saban agrees. Previous staff let the program get so low that the talent pool was approx the same as a school that has gotten the death penalty. A school in that shape will not rebuild their program overnight. Walk-ons can only take us so far. Some of our unrealistic fans forget that we lost most of our playmakers to injury, also. We will be a much different team next year with our playmakers back, even better the next. And some of the critics will be ashamed of themselves. They are not true fans.

You have failed to read his post he isn't bashing him for not winning by any means no one is. Everyone is upset cause the team hasn't been competitive and that a coaching flaw. Lack of talent and execution is a player fault. Even if we had Hunter and bray back we still would have lost badly to LSU BAMA UGA ARK cause he doesn't put his players in the right position for example why is D.Rogers constantly running deep routes he is better going across the middle and getting YAC. Why do we have a zone blocking scheme that doesn't work or why havent we started Neal out wide as a WR. Strategy and play calling is lacking it think DD is sending defensive coordinators text messages about the plays we are going to run. A good coach has his team ready to compete and play hard they dont even play with any emotion at all or heart. This is were coaching comes in they should have the ability to motivate.

I've got a few more # 8 trying to turn a left handed person into a right handed center
# 9 not fixing #8 in the offseason and waiting until it caused a problem in multiple games
#10 burning Worleys redshirt and pulling Simms out late in the game
#11 having no RB coach
#12 Coming to press conferences and saying you dont know what to do to fix the problem and making statements about not knowing when its going to get better
#13 Letting our TE position disappear when that was an effective weapon throughout the year

I can only assume he's trying to make the point that our running game has gone from bad to worst without first passing through worse.

See... I don't think you can say this yet either.

He seems to be getting the right kind of players and talent. He has definitely brought discipline to the program which lays the foundation for success going forward.

But we have yet to see proof that he can coach on game day. We all (well those of us who aren't already invested in his failure) hope that he can coach. But we really don't know.

I swear some of you fans make me want to be a Bama or Gator fan yall would let Dooley Tea bag you all and say you know what this is part of the process of becoming a great fan base. He could pull a Sandusky move and yall will cheer him on. Face it he is horrible I hope he is relieve of his duties. He has proved he is a great mid major coach he bets MTSU and memphis but he cant COMPETE with the other coaches we dont need a win but COMPETE

That's low. You should be ashamed.

There is no way anyone with a brain half the size of a tics brain can say we were a well coached team last night.

And for those finding solice in the fact Petrino was 5-7 in his 1st year with the Hogs, you need to remember this is not our coaches 1st year with the Vols. Ark has gotten better each year. That's called progress.

UF has a so called seasoned and division 1staff. How is that working out. When they lost Brantley it got worse. Now he is back and still not good. Please tell me which two seniors on UT equal Demps and Ramey? I do think Dooley has a lot to learn and as i said before he is here as a transition coach.

Don't forget he has failed to hire a true RB coach a true Secondary Coach

But also don't forget that he had one hand tied behind his back when putting his staff together when he came in. Before the AR game our secondary was ranked #17 in the country so don't really know where the issue is with that. He is unable to hire any more coaches per NCAA rules so again...hand tied behind his back.

I believe he will assess the coaching staff in the offseason and make the proper adjustments. Not saying anyone will loss their job or should, but he may move them around accordingly. Mainly on off cause I think our def is solid. Just need depth but more importantly we need SEC caliber depth and this coaching staff is doing well in recruiting IMHO.

Guys what happened too " Rocky Top you will always be home sweet home to me" ? This means that you love the team and the coaches through the worst of times. Just take a chill guys, at least our players are not getting arrested after every game and the NCAA isn't all over our butts.

So no seniors and one junior on the OL

One senior on the DL(brought in by Dooley as a transfer)

Can that reflect on the lack of leadership and coaching of Fulmer?

Could coaching be better on the OL? Yes
Offensive Play calling? Maybe
DL? Not coaching
Secondary? Not coaching
ST? has improved, except for last night and that wasnt coaching
HC? Cant win a card game with the other hands stacked against you and you're holding a 2/3 off suit

Since you seem to have all the excuses to give DD more time, what point is it time to get an established and WINNNING coach with real experience and credentials?

Next year, his third year:
5 and 7?
6 and 6?
7 and 6?

2 years, his fourth year:
6 and 6?
7 and 6?
8 and 5?

If we are 8 and 5 FIVE years after firing Fulmer will you admit a bad mistake was made? Or will you be mired in excuses?

If we went 0-12 the next two years, firing Fulmer was still the right move. Our potential failures after that would be attributed to failing to hire a good coach. You don't accept mediocrity at Tennessee, and that's what Fulmer was bringing at the end of his career. The "well, we might have won 6 or 7 with Fulmer rather than 5 or 6 with Dooley" doesn't make the case for keeping Fulmer.

I am grateful that smarter people are making hiring decisions than those wanting Dooley fired. Too bad. Your vote doesn't count.

Can someone PLEASE explain the whole " players don't like Dooley" part? Seriously! Seems to come up from time to time with no basis...ever! Please don't use Fulmer or Kiffin players as the #1 reason either. Thats natural and gonna happen when new coaches come on board.

Arguing with emotional immature people is useless. Just let them have their temper tantrums and realize the real adults are really in charge.

I have no idea what we have for coaching, but in 37 years of seriously following the Vols, bizarre things have happened under this staff that I have never seen before:

The Arky punt return
No second half points game after game
0-6 to start the SEC
Kickers that, well, simply can't kick
Improper number of players on the field, again and again (last year)

Now missed tackles, broken assignments, staring down receivers, an OL that can't make a push - seen all that many times.
