You would think that TN fans would know this by now but football is the ultimate decison maker at this school. If your football program is making waves then nothing else matters.

No kidding man, I'm sure Prohm just read this thread on volnation and was like no way I'm going there, especially after what DownTheField just said about Hart being fired. That poster always knows his stuff, but what does the blue font thing mean? Doesn't matter, I believe him since this is where I get real news and information on where I should go coach next!

Giving Credit to Hart for hiring Butch Jones is like giving credit to a guy who trips over his own shoe laces and finds a diamond. He tried to hire a whole bunch of other goons who made his search look like a computer geek asking around for a prom date. We are stuck with him for the time being, and the only way we get a good basketball coach is if Hart trips on his other shoelace.

Definitely not joining the "fire Hart" bunch, but defending Hart b/c he hired Butch Jones is like being impressed with a guy who accidentally struck oil while digging his wife's grave. His coaching searches have been embarrassing - hope he gets lucky again with this next hire.

And that won't change because I misread something. You worry about yourself staying calm. I'll take care of me. I have had it with these idiot fans torpedoing any momentum we seem to get. First the petition, and now they think firing the AD is the answer. An AD by all rights that is doing a pretty good job considering the dumpster fire he inherited.

See that's a lame argument. I would suggest that Butch has done something on the field. He took a very poor team and has made them competitive. Anyone that knows anything above football boxscores can see that.

His record at Tennessee is 12-13 and right now, he's the "home run hire".

Now, that can change quickly in a good way, but we don't know. That's all I am saying.

If Tennessee were to go 7-5 this year, half the board would want the "home run hire" fired

We gonna have to talk about 2013 Vandy game or 2014 UGA & UF games again? I'm eating my hat on Jones because recruiting has gone well and we did go to a bowl game. The expectations are increasing and our OL and LB corps may be irreparable for 2015. Not sure how it will all shake out yet although the trajectory is better than it's been in a while.

All I am saying is that the grade on Butch is an "incomplete".

That's all I am saying.

If you want to pretend like we know already, one way or the other cool.

But, there has been no evidence, on the field, to conclusively show he is or is not the guy.

Never said it did, but if you're pointing fingers, that loss is much more head scratching than UT's loss to Fla. UGA hasn't been digging out of a dumpster fire like UT has for the last 7 years.

UT still hadn't found their QB. Worley was still our QB. I thought (wrongly) he would be the QB for the rest of the season because I didn't think Dobbs had progressed enough. If Dobbs had played that day, who knows.
