I understand. I don't blame him. I'm just tired of hearing the fan base blamed (or the University for that matter) for Cuonzo's decision. He left. Mutual parting, perhaps, but he left when he had a decent opportunity here.

I mean, everybody gets paid what they think they are worth, right?

I agree that's why I posted that. The fan base had very little to do with him leaving. He felt disrespected. As I tell my employees, I will never begrudge you for leaving for another job for the betterment of you or your family. If I want to keep you it's up to me to step up and pay. If I don't think they're worth it I can let them walk.

The problem is Dave Hart is a football guy in a football corner of the universe that knows nothing and cares even less than nothing about basketball. At every SEC school there needs to be an assistant AD that is solely a basketball person...then you won't have the hiring fiascos you have seen at every school except UK,FL...and Auburn.

Cuonzo also saw the handwriting on the wall with Stokes,
McRae, and Maymon leaving. Better to bolt a year ahead of being shown the door.

People forget CCM left his four signees high and dry as well as the remaining roster. He wasn't run out of town...he saw an opportunity and ran with it.

Not a Cheek fan by any means, but it probably has more to do with him not being a short sided imbecile. Cheek realizes the mess the athletic department was in when Hart took the job. He also realizes the only buffer from his own seat getting warm is the AD position and as a whole Hart has done a good job. Only people that have a problem with Hart are the butch women and guys with no balls kissing the butch women's rings. Everyone else complaining about Hart are just playing follow the leader and have no idea why they feel the way they do.

A couple of pieces of information worth noting to all of the Hart haters keeping score at home. Cal paying us for Cuonzo to leave. He fired Tyndall for cause, thus owing him nothing.And we are getting Rick Barnes without having to pay a buyout. Hart again being fiscally responsible and helping us build back our reserve.

This is a pathetic hire. Alabama will end up with Greg Marshall for less money. Absolutely inexcusable hire. This brings zero excitement. None. Texas was eliminated from the tourney by Butler. Donnie Knoxville beat Butler with a bunch of scrubs. So pathetic.
