The university doesn't need our help. They're doing a pretty good job of that on their own.

They obviously didn't want to make a move until after the season, if at all. But looks like UF may have forced their hand.

That said, between our apparent incompetence and probable Haslam involvement, I'm not too confident with the next hire.

I don't want anybody even remotely close to the Browns making decisions about our football program.

What would be solved by firing Butch before now?

Most of those demanding such a thing seemed more concerned with their feeling of powerlessness than about the program.

As soon as Butch is fired, the rant changes to "why haven't we named Gruden yet?".

If Butch is fired, I expect it is part of a plan and not due to an impetuous AD.

Not sure if serious, but if it is, it's one of the most ridiculously stupid things I've seen posted on this site....and that's quite an accomplishment given some of the lunacy that gets dropped here routinely.

No one looks stupid for thinking Jones should have been fired a month ago, at the latest.
I don’t want to let this garbage play out.
I want to get back to winning games.
It’s disgraceful that Jones is still the coach.

I’d have been good if they fired him after the Vandy loss last year.

All I’m saying is let’s dont cut our noses off despite our face here. He’ll be gone soon, perhaps as early as Sunday if we lose to So Miss, we all know he ain’t coaching next years team, no way.

So, lets support the players and put the program and University in the best possible light for any top notch coach who might be interested and who we would want to hire. Let’s do the same for the sake of the currently committed players and any other players who are thinking about becoming a Vol.
