Fire Chaney

The ignorance of many fans is exactly why no one really takes them seriously......
Nice drive by. Sure, I made a post out of frustration with the complete ineptitude of the offense. It’s easy to drive y post on that. But since then I’ve provided hard cold stats and made my case and only ONE person has even bothered to address it. So, you’re post is in fact ignorant.

Don’t. Push. Send.

If Chaney is the one insisting on playing the Scrub behind center, then sure, he has something to answer for. But if the Scrub is being forced on him by 'someone else', then feel sorry for the guy and hope that his boss gets smarter next season.

Chaney is a fine OC.

Who would you have put in there?

Still stalking and hall monitoring?

Stalker? More like admirer and #1 fan!!!

I don't think anyone brings as much solid information and on-point analysis as the roustabout. Your obvious football acumen and unwillingness to make knee jerk threads (emphasis on jerk) which unfairly criticize our coaches and players is a testament born out by your daily contributions.

6 game winning streak headed into the offseason and we have 12 pages of "Fire Chaney" because of roustabout....awesome stuff. Congrats on another great thread.

Drunk bass player, maybe we need to cut him some slack. A lot to deal with there.

Candidly, my "drive by" wasn't solely about you but since you responded we can dig into it further since you seem to love digging your own hole deeper.

Hard. Cold. Stats. Is that the name of your YouPorn channel? All you posted was a link to JGs career stats with little to no insight to your point other than our offense sucked this year. You were correct about that; we were not good. You also mention that we won because of improved Defensive play and again we agree.

Where you lose me is by making the jump from poor offensive performance to firing a very good offensive coach. We (nearly) universally agree, quite a feat on VN, that QB play was the absolute limiting factor this year. When we had good production out of our QBs we scored a lot of points. When we got the standard we struggled. The Hard. Cold. Stats. don't support anything other than the only meaningful difference in those stats were his INTs went up by 5 picks or 63%. That is statistically significant.

INTs are a product of poor decision making in most cases. They are also a double whammy because it takes away an opportunity to improve on your Hard. Cold. Stats. JG simply doesn't see the field like a QB. He waits for receivers to get open and is prone to panic throws (likely due to getting obliterated in his previous years). None of our QBs can read defenses worth a darn and that is expected from the Freshmen. JG should know better but, for whatever reason, doesn't anticipate at an SEC level resulting in picks, missed opportunities and a terrible output.

I don't care how good or bad your coaches are the guys on the field have to get it done. Even in the bowl game you could see the open receivers and that we schemed REALLY WELL against IU. JG simply didn't get it done. When the announcers are calling it out it is really bad because they tried hard to talk nice about him.

In closing you didn't post anything meaningful to the conversation you started other than what I consider emotional and ignorant statements. You blindly defended it long after the point was made. I have lost 5min of my life in a vain attempt to explain why I think you are incorrect and why most folks in the thread replied in a non-flattering manner. But we are probably all wrong.....

P.S. I have and always will say I really appreciate JGs commitment and sacrifice to the Vols. He is, by all accounts, a great kid and wish him all the best. He's the best worst QB we've had in a long time.

Trail of dead male hookers wherever Roustabout’s resided.

JG's problem is that he tries to hard not to make mistakes and it costs him dearly. He doesn't play relaxed. His throws were high all night because he didn't want to throw an INT. The throws were late because he wanted to make sure it was the right throw. He's thinking too much and not reacting. He'd be a different QB if he could relax and let it flow. But. Instead he puts far too much pressure on himself by overthinking.
I can summarize with one phrase”lack of confidence” in game situations. It comes naturally for some and many never will get it. JG has had three years to get it. He simply is not a gamer.

You do know Georgia offense was worse without Chaney despite returning almost all their starters, right?
All their starters except for the entire receiving corps and tight ends, which are fairly necessary in an offense. Losing Mecole Hardman, Holloman, Ridley, Godwin, and Nauta was a massive blow.

The entire receiving corp? You sure?

Well for all the star gazers out there Georgia has had top 5 classes for several years now. Shouldn’t they be able to reload like Alabama has done for a decade. Losing players should not be an issue.
