This fanbase has proved itself for years by showing up even in horrible years. Without them there is NO UT athletic department or smarmy local media telling us how awful we all are.

one job pays $4 Million and has 100K people show up, the other pays 1.5 and has maybe 20K show up on a good day.

Yet another one who my post flew over their head.

I'm not discounting his recruiting, it clearly works....it's just not gonna be a bunch of 5* and competing with UF and UK for top SEC class like many are calling for.

I said nothing of beating Kentucky, I said UT went deeper in the tourney(FACT) and has less talent. Wichita St has solid outside shooters, a legit point guard and a NBA first rounder. We had none of those.

Why do people pay any attention to Travis? His schtick is to rile up fanbases and get clicks. He essentially is playing a character. He doesnt believe the bball job is better.

UT went deeper because they didn't play UK, like Wichita did. Wichita would have crushed the 3 teams UT played.

Memphis would probably be left in an immediately worse position if Pastner were to leave. The probabilities of finding a coach better than him at this point aren't betting odds, plus the groundwork he's laid for future recruits would be kaput.

Memphis fans that want him gone are taking a flyer that there is a better coach available. I think the ones that want Cuonzo gone are doing the same.

Your probably right, but the difference is CJP still wants to be in Memphis. And CCM optimistically already had his bags packed. JMO

Maybe. Did Kentucky go deeper in the tourney than Duke because Duke played Mercer and Kentucky didn't. Great logic. Are you sure UT couldn't have beat Kentucky in the tourney? I will agree, Wichita St matched up better talent wise with Kentucky than we do. Thus my point about having less talent than Wichita St. But to sum up the argument against my original statement that "UT went deeper in the tourney than Wichita ST with less talent"- I am wrong because Wichita St would have gone farther than us but they got beat by Kentucky, who they lost to by 1 point, and Kentucky would surely beat us because they are much better than us, but we have much more talent that Wichita St, who almost beat kentucky with the far inferior talent. Got it.

I know one thing. I'm sure Marshall would love a rematch at Coach Cal. Messing up his undefeated season and all...he could get that here :)
