PF said the only starter that needed to lose his starting position was the HC.
I'm not sold a change is made due to the finances but I'll ask this question. IF it's inevitable (don't think it is fwiw). Is it better to do it now to get a jump on who will be available this year or wait where it doesn't hurt recruiting?
My take. Don't fire him midseason, if you believe you will move on, go ahead and do it behind the scenes, fire him right after the last game because if not, if they hire the new HC in a week, signing day is only two weeks later. The new signing day really hurts those who fire their coaches. Most kids won't sign bc they will want to know who their new coach is making them easy prey. Whereas most teams will only have 3-5 spots left as I'd imagine most schools will sign 18-20 on that first date. Probably only 10 or less will sign with schools that fire their coach meaning other schools have a Huge advantage. You don't want Bama coming after your big fish when they only have to recruit 2-3 guys and you are trying to hang on to most of your class.
