Finals thread.

I agree with that, other than with the Lakers. Kobe couldn't get along with Shaq and he was traded. Then, the Lakers suck and Kobe demands a trade unless he gets help.

I hated "The Decision" as much as anybody, but Kobe doing what he did is just as bad imo.

I was mainly talking about how the team was originally formed in the mid-90's. Shaq was lured away from Orlando via free agency, and Kobe was acquired in a draft day trade. Sure, they may have ended up with two of the greatest ever playing side by side, but they were still built more or less from the ground up.

People say this deal with the Heat is not the first time the NBA has seen this, but I certainly can't recall two future Hall of Famers, both in their prime, colluding to join forces together and bring in yet ANOTHER superstar, also in his prime to create a super-team like the Heat.

Can someone tell me just how much less money Lebron took to go to Miami, keeping state income tax laws in mind? I'll wait.

Other than the big stage and announcement like the Heat, what is the difference?

Idk about Pierce contract status that offseason, but a draft and two trades vs 3 free agent signings. Sounds similar..

When you're promising "...not three, not four, not five..." before you have even so much played a game together, anything short of winning at least ONE title, and doing it pretty quickly, has to be considered blowing up in your face, right? It's not like LeBron is going to play for another 75 years.

#1 he didn't promise to win, it was a celebration/pep rally thing. People do that all the time Kiffin said he was gonna sing rocky top all night after he beats Florida and we all loved it.

#2 listen to the rest of his not 1 not 2....speech, he continued to say " IF we play together as a team and keep our focus...blah blah blah"

I have a hard time describing two guys, both in the 13th seasons in the NBA when they joined the Celtics as "in the prime of their career". They were both still great players, but both had also seen their best days pass them by, and had begun to decline somewhat. The same can't be said for James/Wade/Bosh. Regardless, they were also acquired through trades, not through collusion between the players as the Heat were.

Yeah, you were flat out wrong ( as usual ).

LeBron scored all 7 of his 4th quarter points form the 6:52 mark and on.

Yeah, I was way off. He made 2 shots in the 4th quarter.
I didn't say ft's, jackwagon. I said buckets. Do you know what that means? Let me help homer. It doesn't mean ft's.

Blame it on Spoelstra as much as you want. He isn't great. But he beat the Celtics and got no credit. He loses a game last night because the pg sucks and the superstar won't take over, as well as Durant going off, and it's his fault. I understand how it goes.

You'll be fine as soon as you realize you need a pg. But you keep thinking you need a big man more.
That shows what you know about the game anyway.

What is up with your PG obsession?? Even J. Kidd wouldn't have helped them last night. OKC has too many big men to clog up the lanes, turning Miami into a jump shooting team and they werent hitting shots in the 2nd half.

The biggest knock on Lebron is that he was too stupid to make the right pick and go to Chicago.

Because I think if the Heat had a half decent pg, they would win several titles.

And Miami is a jump shooting team. They didn't just turn into one.

LeBron had every right to leave Cleveland and go play right away for a team to compete after the debacle that was saying no to Amar'e Stoudemire...to keep J.J. Hickson. LOL.

He really didn't need much in Cleveland. Add Tyson Chandler after the 2010 season and he would of won a title already

Having Wade guard Durant had nothing to do with Duant going bananas in the fourth I guess.

First, I didn't say that was a good idea. I missed a few minutes in the game. Was Durant already on his way to going off? Or did he just start when Wade was on him?

But lebron still only had 2 buckets and he is on the floor for all 12:00.
He has to take the ball and take over. That responsibility is on him. If you lose, lose because durant got hot and you didn't. Don't lose because you didn't try to take over.

I know that and a PG wouldn't help them as much as a Dwight or Chandler or a Bynum would where they could dump it in for a few baskets and that could help clog the middle for Miami.

You think dumping it to a big man clogging up the middle opens up lanes and reduces jump shots?
