Film Guy does JA

As mediocre as Nico was, can he be worse? Seriously. All Nico did was turn around and hand the ball off when he wasn’t over throwing receivers.
Exactly why I don’t understand all the pre Madonna’s freaking out on here. Nico wasn’t even average. If we get average play out of this guy we’ve upgraded.

He was paid a good sum of money to hand it off to Sampson.

Knowing that he missed practices irks me. I can't help but think he overthrew it due to lack of chemistry and receiver knowledge

Liked the film study. JA works through progressions, anticipates open receivers, and has a lot of self confidence. On the down side, he frequently throws while falling away, making the ball sail and he has a LOT of self confidence, attempting throws that he probably shouldn’t.

I am excited to see who wins the job JA or Merk and will be all in for whoever it is.

Two questions remain:
Does JA have pocket presents and can he get us to a playoff birth?
I really think he can. Look at how well he played with inferior talent, coaching and skills. Now he’s more mature. If he can grasp this system WATCH OUT!

There’s some important subtleties you missed, regarding some homophones. Makes it funny. Don’t be offended, but he got you.

(It starts with prima donna)

I guess the biggest concern is the short window for mastering the offense
Yep. missing spring and having to stay in SoCal and finish his schoolwork gives me pause but the Heupel offense is a lot simpler than most. Also, it may be me but watching the way JA moves and throws on the run he reminds me of Hendon more than any QB we have had. Just wish we started with ETSU then played Syracuse in Atlanta 2nd game but that Syracuse will be our kickoff.

In his defense, he always had pressure in his face. So his default was to throw as he is either getting hit or moving away from the pressure.

The fact he has to stay in LA until mid-June is very concerning. Seems it would be worth it to fly Halzle and a receiver out there for a couple of weeks to work with him.
