I played the demo last night. It is pretty crisp but also pretty different from 3.

Some of the punches are a different button combination.

You get to be either Paquioa or Hatton. I took Pac and we pretty much just had a huge slugfest. The blocking and dodge is kinda messed up.

You can choose from 48 fighters. I am gonna use Tyson just because.

They left out some guys but I'll let you guys play it and decide that for yourself.

The fact that I can fight with Iron Mike, might make me go get this game on that fact alone.

did anyone bother with the corner work or just let it do it on its own? I haven't yet.

I'm going to mess with it some today, i'd imagine there is some benefit todoing it manually, it doesnt seem like its the huge pain in the ass that FN3 was

haymaker abuse in FN3 ruined the game for me.... I hope they've addressed that with this one.

It seems like the defense is better, with more glancing blows than the 'square or nothing' punches in FN3. I'm hoping that you can actually box rather than trading in the center of the ring until someone gets KO'd

I'm going to smash bearcats's head in for having a big mouth on the boards, waiting is the hardest part

I have a head start on you boyahhh!! By the way, my initial inpressions are that the haymaker wound be able to be abused because it takes so much stamina out of you. But we will see. I am loving this game compared to UFC, even though I hate boxing and follow UFC. FN4 just flows better and is crisper like someothers have said.

this is the the first fight night i've played and i only had a fight with tyson against someone who i forgot now and i suck at trying to block and/or dodge. it was basically a slugfest that i pulled off with a KO in round 5. the knockdown replay shot is fooking awesome, maybe even on the verge of UBER

The previous games generally turn into a slug fest as well. The haymakers and extra stuff just made it more of who can pull off the haymaker move the best. I was hoping to this was different like the developers have been claiming.

If the defensive controls are workable, and people get used to them, i would think that the fights will become more realistic. I am not a fan of both fghters throwing 150 punches a round and landing 75% as in FN3

From what I played last night, which included a couple of fights online, it seemed as the blocking was much better. I went against a guy that tried to spam the jabs and I blocked most of them and laid a couple of counters which took a lot out of him. Since he was throwing so many punches that didnt connect, his stamina took a dive and I was able to throw some combos for the knock out.
